Weber Master -Touch Charcoal Grill

I have the first series of performer grill, so it's over 25 years old. I'm pressed to fit everything I have to cook and than I realized I had four Weber kettle grills to take care of the whole meal in the past. But gave them away. I was looking at gravity fed charcoal grills, hoping Weber would come out with one, but that is not going to happen since they came out with temp control models. I just went out and bought a new Weber kettle and I'm very happy now and have all the room to cook for family gatherings. I have a Weber gas grill that is over 35 years old with the original igniter. I have only had to replace favorizer bars and shore up the cart.

I absolutely love my Weber Kettle Master Touch. I've been using it most weekends and can taste the difference using charcoal and wood chips. I have a pellet grill smoker and an outdoor griddle, but now prefer my Weber. It's like driving a stick shift vs automatic controlling the temp with the vents. I dig it!

The master touch series is fantastic. My only slight critic would be the small round grill grate can be cumbersome sometimes. But other than that I love it. The grill grates are nice, thick, and heavy duty. I like having a spot for the lid and the ash catching system are all great.

Good product. Easy to cook on. Temp gauge is nice. Difficult to move as it is top heavy.

I had been using a full sized pellet grill for 8 years and finally got tired of the mechanical mishaps and inability to grill / sear after the slow cook. The Weber grill has been able to do both without the need for a motor, augur, and difficult to reach areas to clean. I think there are some design improvements that could be made to the Weber, but it is hard to beat its capabilities for the price.

I owned a Weber spirit propane grill several years ago that I loved. However I've always wanted to get a charcoal grill and finally did about a month back. This grill exceeds all expectations. It's easy to use and clean and the flavor it provides to food is incredible. My kids are already requesting I cook every meal “on the blue grill” after just a few cooks.

So happy I decided to buy a kettle versus a gas grill; I enjoy and take pride in the food I've prepared. I didn't know it was possible for me to make this quality of food at home. I still don't quite understand why anyone would want to own a gas grill, but that's just me. I've had it for a few months now and I've cooked burgers, chicken, chops, brisket… I'm smoking some pork belly as I type this. This little thing is a beast. 10/10 recommend if you want to actually have a hands-on cooking experience and take pride in your food.

We purchased this barbeque grill so we can cook and customize the flavors with different types of charcoal. We like the special features especially the ability to dispose of the used charcoal and the special top that allows you to hold the top in the upright position.

My 22" Master Touch kettle has been a great addition to my cooking routine. I have used the coal divider for two zone cooking and the elevated rack for warming buns. Additionally, I have purchased Weber Charcoal baskets and the Weber temperature controlled, which is a heat deflecting insert. I really like the added height of the Master Touch over my 20 year old 18" Weber kettle, which is still in excellent condition, despite being outside and uncovered all that time in the California sun. I also like the heft of the grill and that the edges open up to add wood for smoking. The only thing I am not crazy about is that the center section comes out from the rest of the grill. I understand this is for using cast iron accessories, but I haven't used anything like that, and it makes it so I can't hang the grill on the side of the kettle when needed. Not a big deal. I am learning the art of temperature control using the vents, and I have had good results using the "snake method " with the Weber temperature controller heat defuser for low and slow smoking. All I need now is an internal meat thermometer and I will be set! I am very pleased with my purchase.

I am a huge Weber fan. I've had nothing but Weber grills in my life. My new Weber Touch grill has been great except for one item. I dislike the lid bail. I think it's the design of the metal "hoop" I believe it's too small. My lid hangs over the grill at an angle and somewhat gets in the way. I wish it had that hook that my old Weber kettle had.
