The product is great been using it for years. But this review is for Walmart delivery. 4 bags of charcoal in a weakAzz box they expected to survive handling FEDEX and delivered in Michigan winter. Shipping from the local store is great, they ship in sealed plastic bags. So know I have a snow/rain soaked shipping box and 2 bags of damp charcoal. Do better Walmart

B%26B charcoal briquettes is my go to product I use in all of my grilling and I add some to the Hunsaker drum smoker to kick the heat up a bit and it gives me a longer lasting burn. I find the burn to be consistent and Walmart has the best price per bag and they deliver for free!

Nice, slow burning, easy to start (I use a charcoal chimney with a homemade fire starter), great flavor. I would never pay over $30 for a bag of charcoal, that's a ridiculous price. However I bought it on sale for 9.97 a bag, which was a fair price.

B%26B charcoal briquettes I feel are superior to Kingford Briquettes for heat and consistency. B%26B Lump Charcoal is also very good. I do however believe that when B%26B was making the previous version of Briquettes which was just OAK briquettes were better than the current OAK %26 Hickory briquettes version.

I'm pretty positive that this is my first time buying and using this charcoal, I was very impressed with the fact that I personally had better results than with a big name competitor brand. I will most definitely be using this from here on out..HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I am disappointed with current formulation of B%26B Charcoal Competition Oak Charcoal Briquets. The original B%26B Oak Briquettes produced more consistent heat and produced nowhere near the amount of ash of the "New" B %26 B Oak and Hickory Briquettes. I still have a couple of bags of B%26B Oak Briquettes', but after my stash is gone I will be looking for a new brand. I've used B%26B products for years and will still use B%26B Oak Lump Charcoal, but no more B%26B briquettes for me.

It's hard to review the product without reviewing the Walmart experience. I ordered 2 bags for curbside pickup. - they only came out with 1 bag. The associate said they only had 1 bag, and that particular bag was split open. It appeared that most of the charcoal was still in the bag so I took it. The issue is with the curbside pickup more than the product itself. I've learned that they want you to purchase online because they refuse to honor the online price in the store. I'm unsure what brilliant person came up with this policy - they'd prefer you use online purchase and curbside pickup, than purchase in the store where most people will pick up a few more items while shopping.

I do like the size of these and they do put out some heat BUT the biggest issue I have with it is when you go to move the coals when they are ready. They crumble to pieces and immediately lose their heat. As soon as you touch them they turn into a pile of ash.

great product but shipping sucks! I ordered three bags before and all were shipped in boxes and undamaged. I placed another order for two bags. They shipped the charcoal just in the bag. both bags came damaged and opened. tons of the briquettes were crushed. Won't order again!
