Zatarain's No Artificial Flavors Dirty Rice Dinner Mix, 8.0 oz Box

My husband and I had never had any Zatarains products. We added corn and ground sausage to the dirty rice mix and it was a perfect dinner. Easy to make and we also put it into tortillas and added some hot sauce.

I add Andouille sausage to a pound of hamburger with 2 cans of beef broth. The mix adds enough flavor to make it as ethnic as possible without actually traveling to New Orleans.

I use Zatarains Dirty Rice to make Spanish rice and it's delicious. I just add meat and Hatch Tomatoes with Green Chile. I tried making it with Zatarains Red Beans and Rice and I didn't like it but their Dirty Rice is really good.

It's Zatarains, so you know it's good! Don't forget to put some Chicken livers chopped up in n a lil extra sausage, make a full delicious meal outta it traditional way!

I always like to have this on hand for an easy meal. Sometimes I will put in large pieces of bell pepper in the pan and top with cheese at the end . Easy deconstructed stuffed peppers

The Zatarain's dirty rice is a go to, easy dinner idea. It is versatile and can be used with different proteins. I prefer it with ground beef and chicken. The ingredients are consistent and simple. If you need an easy, delicious, flavorful dinner idea... get this. It has the perfect amound of spice. I'm not a spicy food person and I enjoy this.

I used to make this all the time like 16 years ago and it had little touch of heat to it, just a little. Now it has none and lacks flavor, I had to add some things to spice it up, I also ended up adding 1 cup of leftover pinto beans, it made a lot and we had leftovers. I made burritos with the leftovers stuffed with cheese and sour cream with a little crunched up Doritos...so good

This is a quick, tasty dish in a box. This rice already has bell peppers in it, but I cut up extra bell peppers of different colors for a bolder flavor and color. This makes a great weeknight side dish or base for a one-pot meal. I occasionally add pieces of chicken, bacon, and ground beef to ramp up the flavor.

Makes a fairly decent one-skillet meal after one adds one's own ground beef (and I prefer a lil pork sausage, 4:1) to it. However, with 1 lb ground beef the dish has a bit too much rice and is scant on the seasonings including the dried red and green peppers. (I added some fresh chopped onion). I'd recommend adding more meat but then one has to add more cajun seasoning and veggies and one ends up with enough to feed 4 with leftovers. This box mix could and should do better! Also it's not spicy enough but that's an easy fix with a lil cayenne.

I have enjoyed this product for years and always received great satisfaction each time.but my last buy was different. it's like little to no seasoning was added to the box. the taste was very bland. I can highly recommend off my previous buys, but from my last buy,I can't in good conscience recommend at all.
