Boy was I pleasantly surprised when I use this little Jewel. When I first got it I opened the package and I thought what in the world? Did I get the wrong item? This thing looks cheap and small, but boy WAS I WRONG!!! I AM ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH THIS LITTLE MACHINE! And at first I was like everyone else I thought the directions didn't come with it, but they do I tell you! This comes the same size as my first single layer egg boiler machine. This is the coolest little machine I've ever seen. I didn't measure one thing. Now one thing I did do differently is it doesn't seem the directions to poke a hole in the fattest part of the egg before you cook it but I did and I used my previous egg puncturer. But anyway, you've got two little platforms put your eggs on. You don't need directions. Just lay one of those white platforms on top of the machine that you plug in. And I added not quite a full container of water poured it over the eggs, using my old little container. That seemed to fill it up just right and then I put the round cylinder thing on type of those after puncturing each egg one time, and then put my second tear white holder on top of that which they all fit wonderfully, then put my eggs on that and punctured each one and then put the lid on and plugged it in. Pushed the little handle to on and you'll know it's on because it turns red and in no time my eggs were done perfectly. I like them hard boiled so that's the way I fixed them. Do not attempt to take the lid off without a mitten cuz you will get burned by the steam for sure. I really like that it does not have one of those loud screechy signals go off like the old one I had that was a single layer a boiler. Just go back and check it about 10 or 15 minutes later and it turns itself off which is really cool. But turn your setting to off after every use. When the eggs came out, they looked brown on the bottom and I was a little scared but no.... They absolutely come out perfect every single time. I am in love with this machine. And I'm very picky. You can't go wrong with this little machine and I love that I have so many eggs done at one time. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again cuz it's not really cheap. It's perfect! Now you do get a little dish with it that says you can steam things but hahaha, but the little dish is so small you would get about two bites but that doesn't bother me because I was buying it to boil enough eggs to where I don't have to keep doing it so often. And I tell you what the eggs peel so beautifully and fast. I couldn't get over it it really does. I'll be 80 in December and I love this thing! Especially the easy peeling part!!!

When you first open it, you're like “this looks like wasted $$”. This little gadget makes perfect eggs EVERY time and they ALWAYS shell perfectly!

It cooks up to 14 eggs plus steams other foods. It's great but can be a little tedious to nest an egg-tray onto the base or nest all trays %26 wall/dome together. Also the vent-hole in the lid can clog with water, then cause the lid to rise hydraulically from expanding steam; keep vent-hole clear at all times. It works fabulously otherwise.

I absolutely love the ease of usage and it's speed of peeling off the shells. I have never seen a easier way of cooking eggs or peeling them. There is a trick for making the hole in the large end of the egg. Place the measuring cup with the point for piercing the egg shell on the egg. Next, just hold the cups point on the large end of the egg and then tap the cup with your finger until it makes the hole, it will be easier after you have pierced the first egg. You will understand how much pressure it takes to get the hole pierced in the shell with practice. The first one is the hardest to learn how to puncture the shell without crushing it in your hands.

For such a simple device, it wasn't intuitive to figure out assembly. The “User Manual” is a small slip of paper about 3” x 4”. No diagram showing how to assemble. I'll keep it because I Will eventually figure it out. There is no ding or alarm telling you when it's finished, no built in timer either. I recommend buying one with either an alarm beep or a timer. I haven't peeled any of the eggs. Hopefully they're fine.

The egg piercer cracks the eggs! Cooks 14 eggs! That is really convenient! I like that it doesn't sing when done. Automatically turns off. Seems flimsy but works!

The instructions are incoherent. I've listened to other reviews.And I've tried different things.And I never get good eggs that are medium or soft. It claims to have an anti burn built in but it doesn't. It will leave burn marks on the device and on your eggs. I'm very disappointed. If you have no other way to boil eggs it might be worth it.

Product looks ok. No real instructions or recommendations for use. A simple fill with water and plug in is all you get. I guess YouTube is a must to own and really use this product! There are more complete products out there in the market. This is the tiny piece of paper that is included!

This was plugged in, but did not operate. It's a fair idea, though the plastic is flimsy and not one I would subject to the heat you get from hard boiling or soft steaming eggs. And this will need to be returned as it literally does not operate and would therefore be an electrical hazard

This is a Fire hazard. If you do not watch the first shut off it will turn ON even though there is little or no water in it. It seems the base burns all the time. It turns ON on it's on shortly after auto shutoff. Due to the ON-OFF ROCKER switch still on the ON position.
