My second spring using the Jiffy Seed Start pellets. So easy to use. Just them put in the Jiffy Seed Starting Tray, water, add your seeds, keep moist and it's done! I also use grow lights and a heating mat until it's time to plant outside.
Great price for 100 peet pots. I use them in my existing Jiffy Greenhouse kit tray purchased at Wal-Mart in the past, which holds 72 pots. Good quality. Reasonably fast shipping. Will buy again. Trays are reusable year after year, so this gives you more bang for your buck! Recommend for all you gardeners out there!
Jiffy peat pellets are DUPER! Even cheap, off brand seeds germinate in a few days when used in these! They are the perfect seed starters %26 I bought another brand when I couldn't get these Jiffy brand ones %26 they were coconut fiber instead. They 'grew' instantly with water, but having NO mesh outer- cover, fell into a mass mess, which I used anyways, but my seeds DIDN'T COME UP! I'll NEVER buy anything, except the Jiffy pest ones again!
The order arrived quicker than expected and I am pleased with the quality of the product.
Not sure if I received a really old bag but the pellets took extremely long to fluff up compared to the ones that came in a germination kit from the same company. They did not hold moisture as well as the others either.
The pods are a disappointment. The process should happen within 5-10minutes after being placed in warm water ( suppose to expand ) after 30 minutes they expanded about 10%max . Because of the poor expansion they are rather limited because of lack of soil. If you want positive results purchase the alternative.
They were very cheaply made compared to Jiffy's brand. Once water was added to them, they only expanded maybe 1/4 of the size that Jiffy's do. Do not waste your money on these pellets. They do not work. One even collapsed and didn't even expand out of 36 that I initially started with. I was extremely disappointed with the horrible quality of this product.
Received box, opened box. Inside was a clear, cheap plastic baggie like you would find in a produce department of a grocery store. Bag was tied into a knot at the top. Opened bag and counted out Jiffy pellets, there were supposed to be 100. Counted out 90. At least these are supposed to be Jiffy pellets but there was nothing on the bag, box or in the box that these were actually Jiffy brand. Won't buy again.
the refills are not like the jiffy kits. dirt is totally different c and the pods are different
Didn't get my full order. I ordered 200 pellets but only got 144. The package was damaged badly causing loss of order. Louis P.
