Growing up in southern middle Tennessee I am quite familiar with how our comfort food should taste even though I don't cook that way. Often times store bought food, pre seasoned, missed the mark. But the powder flavor in these takes me back to my mom‘s slow cooked all day flavor without having to spend a lot of extra money on actual meat. Most of the time I do a combination of these and pinto beans depending on the meal.

Excellent product. I will say that I've never found a rock or really many of the beans that are blemished as you can find in some brands. And the flavor packet they add is a nice touch to season the beans. As far as I know, this is the only brand with that seasoning packet. Love to cook these in the slow cooker with a meaty ham bone.

I tried these ham beans for the first time. The instructions are right on the package very easy to follow. Turns out perfect. I mixed it with farmland, smoked spiral ham slices and pieces and the aroma smells so good . I made Famous Dave cornbread to go along with the ham beans and ham. A quick dinner that is rich in protein and other nutrients.

I always use these beans when I make ham and beans I put them in a big bowl and cover them with water snd soak them overnight Next day I make ham and beans with them They have a wonderful flavor
