Pick these up to melt for making chocolate fondue and have been very happy with them. We'll use them for our cookies or really anything. You use chocolate chips for the only downside.I find is that if I do not finish the bag.I will keep coming back in the evenings to munch on them and get fatter than I need to.
These 12 oz bags are the unsung heroes of my kitchen. Dirt cheap, but they melt like a dream—smooth, rich, no weird graininess or burnt edges. I’ve made cookies, brownies, and “emergency” chocolate bark that have fooled people into thinking I’m a baking goddess. They hold their shape in cookies (crisp edges, gooey centers) and melt perfectly for dipping pretzels or making trail mix. No off-flavors, no skimping on the chocolate punch—just solid semi-sweet goodness that rivals the big names without the big price tag. Only downside? The bag disappears faster than you’d expect. I once blamed the kids… turns out I was the midnight snacker.
these chocolate chips are about half of the price at Walmart that they are at the other really big grocery store near me. Here is a good tip for you: if you buy bananas a lot and they tend to turn brown before you can finish all of them, you can make banana chocolate chip muffins. Just mix four brown bananas with one box of plain cake mix, and a splash of vanilla extract and add chocolate chips before you bake your muffin.
I have used these for years. Great in cookies, fudge and candy recipes using semi-sweet chocolate chips, and sneaking a few when you crave chocolate. Buy with confidence, and save money. They're good.
Well I really don’t know what to say other than “Who Doesn’t Love Chocolate Chip’s and I like all flavors Milk chocolate. Dark chocolate. These Semi Sweet Chocolates I like Cinnamon chips you name it! And I’m the Great Value Brand you won’t beat the price. That’s what Walmart is all about. Great Value At Great Prices. I purchase almost everything in the Great Value Lind of Products. I only wish they had more. One Great Value item sold so Greatly that they can’t even Keep It In Stock.
There's great value chocolate chips are delicious! They taste exactly like the namebrand ones, and I honestly don't know why anybody would buy those instead of saving money on the great value brand. We see no difference at all using them in chocolate chip cookies or any recipe that calls for chocolate chips. The taste is exactly the same. I highly recommend these!
I only buy this brand of chocolate chip. the prices have gone up too much. I bake a lot and I’d like to stick with the chocolate chip cookies in our rotation, but if they go up any higher I will stop buying them.
The flavor and consistency is comparable to the name brand. But priced much less! will definitely buy again. It's a great addition to a brownie mix. Or a handfull as a snack.
I'd venture to say that you couldn't tell the difference in a blindfolded taste test.. Except when you realize you have more money in your pocket. So...Why look for a better deal when you're holding it in your hand and stomach?
Something has changed with these chocolate chips! I’ve used GV brand for several years and this year it left an oily substance that could NOT be mixed in when making chocolate fudge. I was disappointed….
