The AeroPress helped make my coffee smooth and not bitter. I purposely tested the AeroPress with a low grade coffee ground I had made previously in my French press. When made in the French press this coffee left much to be desire being too bitter and acidic. I used these same low grade coffee grounds in the AeroPress and it produced a much smoother, non acidic cup of joe. I was very impressed! Although the AeroPress was bigger than I had expected it would be easier to travel with than my mini French press. It's also much easier to clean than a French press, another great bonus! I loved how easy to use and clean this was. This is so small and really can be taken with you anywhere. I have taken it with me to work and plan to take it with me on vacation soon. It made a great cup of coffee and was a cinch to clean. It is a simple device and this product comes with several filters. You just add a scoop of coffee, make sure it's finely ground, add boiling water and press down the plunger. I like that it's a simple way to make a rich cup of of coffee one cup at a time. Besides boiling the water, it took less than a minute to have a delicious coffee. When you're done you take off the filter cap and press the plunger all the way down and the coffee grinds pop out. I'm a mom of 2 littles and this is a great coffee maker to have on hand when I need a second cup of coffee on extra tired days. I whipped up a latte quickly with this tool! I Purchased this press for a couple of reasons number one is to take to our camper and number two is on the off chance that we should lose power again, I want to be able to have coffee at home!! my gas stove can still heat up water. I am very impressed at the quality of a cup of coffee this produced. for the price it's amazing and being that it's plastic I can store it in the camper and not worry about anything breaking I am more than happy

I use it for tea and coffee, iced and hot. Absolutely brilliant little thing, easy to use, beyond easy to clean. Portable, too! Easily take it along whenever I travel, with some of my grounds and leaves - Hotel coffee usually doesn't do it for me. Only thing I would've done different is get the XL.
