Arlo Essential Security Camera 1080p HD (2025 Release) - Wired Plug-In Power Outdoor Camera, 1-Cam

We needed a way to monitor a back parking area where our vehicles were at risk. We picked the cheapest option to get ASAP (wm delivery). This camera is outstanding! Color view with the spotlight. Clear pictures. Option to zoom. Accounts with option to record 24/7. Options to create zones, times, routines! And so much more. Get this if you need a camera! What a great choice!

I bought this as a fourth camera to my four individual Arlo camera home system (stand along). Honestly, I wasn't expecting this camera. I was expecting the older version and that's what my other three cameras are (older). I bought the other cameras in 2025. This camera has great color, a spotlight, siren, two red lights like a UFO and I guess they are for night vision and can stay armed while the other three cameras are on standby. You can turn the LED lights off. If you turn the spotlight off (great for the back door) the video will only record black and white. The spotlight comes on when motion is detected. No sim card or memory card slot and the plan is $20 mont. No plan no recording. You can pay one mont late on the second mont ($40). I do have a small problem based on the cameras position in the window. It records inside but not outside but I can see outside on my cellphone. Also, the outside recording doesn't go to the feed. Only the inside recording goes to the feed. I'm going to have swap this camera with one of my older cameras because there is nowhere to mount it and no windowsill (I'm working). I guess this camera does good with a straight shot or open space. It's also bigger than my older cameras. The cord is at least four to five feet long (C-Type). The camera works great but can't patrol the angle/area I want and going to swap it out with an older camera. The app is nice and you can arm and control the camera on cellphone data/mobile network. You can tape the LED lights, but one dot is controls the color. If you tape that dot, no color. Nice camera!

the hardest part was connecting to the internet for installation. idk if that was my issue bc im clueless when it comes to electronics or if this is a common issue. this is my 2nd arlo device. app is easy to use, but i also havent tried any other brands.

These cameras are so easy to set up, the picture quality is great. There are more expensive options out there, but why? I highly recommend. I use it for security AND watching wildlife.

great picture quality but not as good as the battery operated ones i also have this one seems to have issues in low light.

These item works great. Easy to install. I used shorter screws for my frame but I didn't have a drill. Good picture and quality.

Picture is very clear, night vision is good, motion and audio alerts are very sensitive! Easy to set up and use; lots of customizable settings.

I have other cameras in this line so it made sense to add this one when I needed another. it's a little difficult to mount but once it's in place it's very secure. The most annoying part is that you need a subscription ($20/mo) to have any kind of video storage since there's none built into the device and no way to add a memory card as far as I can tell.

The cord is thin and being the door opens and closed Constantine wire is wearing out other than that they are excellent cameras

Easy to set up. I bought this one because it was cheap and I needed the wire to charge a previous Arlo and the wire finally worked for the other Arlo.
