These are the best gluten-free pastas I've found so far. Definitely IBS friendly ingredients. Just as filling or more so than traditional pasta and tasty. Great for my pasta cravings. The only thing is they're very easy to overcook you might have to reduce the cooking time by a minute or two.
This is one of the best gluten free spaghetti I've tried. It tastes like the real thing and is only slightly more fragile than the gluten-full variety. Just be careful not to overcook as gf pasta turns to mush if overcooked. For gf pasta, this spaghetti isn't overly expensive. I do not like most gf pasta, but I can recommend this one.
Barilla GF pastas have been our "go to" since our daughter was diagnosed with Celiac Disease, an auto-immune disease in which she can't ingest gluten which is contained in wheat, rye and barley and their by-products. Barilla makes one of the best tasting pastas we have that are as close to "regular" pastas. The bite it has after cooking to al dente is exactly the same. The price is higher (and believe us, we wish it were cheaper) but the taste and reliability of this product are worth it! Any variety of their pastas are always good-try it today!
Barilla Gluten Free pasta is hands down _the _best_ gluten free pasta I've tried, and I've tried a lot of them. Great taste, good texture. It does break apart after it's fully cooked more than wheat-based pastas do, so if you stir it around a bunch you're going to end up with little pieces of spaghetti instead of long strands, but it's a small price to pay for such a delicious gluten free option when those cravings strike!
I'm not surprised that Barilla would make a good gluten free pasta. The various shapes held up better to cooking than mini rice brands and have more flavor than some. I actually like gluten free better than wheat noodles and brands like this are the reason why.
I've been eating this for years and am very impressed with the quality. it's about the only brand I use. My whole family eats it. I also like the linguine and lasagna oven ready pasta. The elbow pasta is easy to overcook and gets mushy, but the other 3 are a good texture and flavor. I rarely eat gluten free grain foods because they are so overpriced and taste bad, but these are an exception. Even the price is good.
“Barilla gluten‑free pasta is my favorite. I rinse it after cooking and save some pasta water for sauces. It works beautifully for spaghetti or a cold veggie pasta salad. For the salad, I chill the noodles and toss them with vinaigrette or spicy Italian dressing plus chopped veggies like cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, radishes, onions, and pepperoni.”
Best gluten-free pasta out there. Believe me., I've been doing this for two decades. I don't even try an experiment anymore. Gluten-free lifestyle sucks. There is no good commercially made bread. Crackers fall apart. Everything is overpriced. This is one product that is worth the extra money. Not as good as real pasta, but if you cook it right, it's almost close.
This is my favorite gluten free pasta. I make it for my family and they have no clue it is gluten free, because it tastes so good. The spaghetti and fettuccine holds up great and their texture is like regular pasta. I have found that other GF pasta (such as rotini and penne) tends to get mushy.
I thought I was going crazy. The water coooked in, the texture, how slimy it was, the flavor... all the sudden were terrible. Pulled out the package "New Recipe - Same Great Taste" A blatant lie. The new two ingredient recipe is a major downgrade. Very disappointed and will be looking at different brands. I'll happily return if they go back to the old recipe. But is I wanted mush I'd overcook some rice and call it a day.
