I actually take these when I'm done working out. This helps with the energy level and the muscle building process. I personally take this to before and 2 after workout unless I need an extra energy boost. Then I take 4 before I go workout and to after I'm done working out.

I have read many articles about amino acids and the pros and cons of BCAAs. So I am not an athlete, and I do not exercise in a gym nor run marathons. I do however work in yard and that work is strenuous and often results in muscle fatigue and soreness.
