I'm glad that Walmart carries some Bob's Red Mill gluten-free products. The GF oats are hard to find, so I stock up and keep a few bags in the freezer. They make great oatmeal cookies, no bake chocolate oatmeal cookies, you can grind them in the blender to make oat flour for other recipes. For gluten-free instant oatmeal, I pulse the oats in a blender for a few seconds (just enough to break some of them up). Add some powdered milk, a dash of salt, sweetener if you want and store in an airtight container. I don't add sweetener or flavors before hand; I make basic oatmeal and then add flavorings when cooking the oatmeal. 1/3 cup of the instant oatmeal, 3/4 cup water, stir and microwave for about 3 minutes (depends on the wattage of your microwave). Boom! Gluten free oatmeal for less than those little packets cost and you can make them any flavor you want, sweeten however you want. If you don't use dairy, then leave that out and use a powdered non-dairy "milk" or creamer.
I bought this because the store was out of stock of the brand I usually buy. I actually like this better! I love that it's organic, and the texture and taste are both very good. Really delicious. Cinnamon and sugar, fruit, Fairlife milk, and I have a wonderful meal. I also like that it comes in a bag for easy transport because we travel often.
Comes out perfect when cooked to exactly as stated on box for stove top don't forget the pin ch of salt add the fruit last minute so the fruit is not mush. I use organic blueberries and a 1 tsp. Of honey 1 tsp of butter fabulous!!!! Boil water first than add oatmeal and simmer . If you make more than you need it's great just add fruit for the next day .
Bobs Red Mill never lets me down. always a top quality product that is very consistent. i can use these oats in so many ways and get rave reviews from my 4 little taste testers.
I love this butter dish. It is lightweight. The top stays on very well and it keeps the butter fresher because it's airtight. It doesn't get any smells from any of the other food in the refrigerator. I am very happy with my purchase.
My go to breakfast food. Add blueberries and a cut up bananas, crushed walnut, vanilla bone broth, multi collagen protein powder and you're set for the day. Cook 5-20 minutes on stove with a tablespoon of olive oil! Wonderful.
I follow the directions on the bag and add cinnamon and some Baja salt before microwaving for 2 minutes. Then I usually add walnuts, a drizzle of maple syrup, and either blueberries or a diced Granny Smith apple.
This is a great brand and a great options for overnight oats or cook on the stove top. I like to add a little fruit and date syrup or agave for taste.
I have celiac disease so it is imperative that I eat only gluten-free food. I've purchased both Bob's red mill, quick cooking rolled oats and Bob's red Mill old-fashioned rolled oats. The old fashioned rolled oats is by far the better choice for me. The flavor and texture is much more satisfying than the quick cooking oats which has no taste and texture is like paste.
Although these are not the so-called quick cooking oats, the directions on the bag indicate a similar microwave cooking time. Unfortunately, they are not cooked in the recommended time. Very coarse uncooked consistency even after doubling cooking time I returned them
