I don't use any other sweetener. I use it for everything I bake and especially when I make my homemade Granola . It's fantastic, and I get such an excellent price from Swanson. Great Company!!

This organic coconut sugar is extremely finely ground, making it the best sugar for topping lattes as it dissolves smoothly. Tastes delicious and doesn't affect my blood sugar like cane sugar does. I've tried many other organic coconut sugars and this is hands down the best! Highly recommend!!

Coconut sugar seems like it should be in that category of alternative sweeteners, such as stevia or agave nectar, which are a little less sweet, healthier alternatives to real sugar, but that wouldn't properly describe its place in the sugar armamentarium. It's a sugar plain and simple, a little less sweet than maple syrup or honey, with fewer factory hours needed to produce the final product, a product less likely to contain pesticides. Sweetness scale: Simple/Golden Syrup > sugar (which is not all the same sweetness either) > honey/maple syrup > coconut sugar > agave nectar/fructose > stevia/sugar alcohols > aspartame Coconut sugar is perfect in apple crisp and coffee cake recipes that demand nutty flavors without tons of nuts. It's very good in a cappuccino as well.

As I transitioned to a grain free diet recently, which I call "Paleo-Plus", I needed to empty my cabinets of all non-compliant items and replace them with various nut-based flours and other Paleo-friendly products. I'd long been a customer of Bob's Red Mill, which happens to be right down the road from where I live, and I already trusted the quality of their products. With a week of thrift-store runs for glass containers, and an online order of a selection of Bob's Red Mill products, I was all set! I've been having a great time trying new recipes using the Almond Flour, Arrowroot, and Coconut Sugar products, and they've come out fantastic!

LOVE THIS COCONUT SUGER!! Great Taste, but most of all it is better than plain sugar due to having vitamins and minerals regular sugar does not! I actually feel less guilty eating this because of the vitamins and minerals contained within! Wish it came in larger sizes.

I was purchasing another brand of coconut sugar in the grocery store when I saw that Bob's Red Mill was carrying it. I ordered it and was very surprised by the richness of the color and the taste was better than expected! To buy a product this good and the cost be much less than the grocery store brand made everything that much sweeter! Definitely a win win!!

I love the taste of this coconut sugar! I use in almost all my baking recipes instead of cane sugar. I especially like to use it in my peanut butter cookies. My mom likes to use a teaspoon of this coconut sugar in her coffee and she says it give a rich caramel-like flavor. I just wish the bag was a bit bigger!

I was hoping this would give at least of hint of coconut flavor. I can't detect any - but for some that might be a good thing. It's also very dark. Is it toasted? I wasn't expecting that flavor. It's also somewhat coarse. It was fine in our hot cereal, but for me not enough different to be worth the extra cost. It is sweet and will be good in certain things, but I won't be buying any more. Like maple sugar much better.
