Botan Rice - Rice - Calrose, 5 Lb.

I've been ising this brand of rice for20 years. I grew up eating medium grain rice. I don't like long grain rice as I find too dry in texture after cooking. Being Cajun-French I have eating rice for 70 years. This brand cooks easily and well. Storing cooked rice in air tight container and refrigerating keeps rice good for up to 2-3 days.

I just started getting into making more Asian dishes. I love sushi. This rice works great for making sushi. Easy to use. Cooks well. Wasn't difficult to clean. Only took about 3 rinses before water ran pretty clear. Taste is good. I would recommend this rice to anyone making Asian dishes.

I use this with my sugar goes very very low and I need something sugary. It's fantastic for that. The rose rice that I buy I've bought in many years. I used to have to buy it as a Asian store and now I love that I can buy it at Walmart. I use that rice all the time I make a rice mushroom with it or just rice with spices or beans and it's great.

I've have had all different rice brands and quality and this is the most delicious rice I've ever encountered. In no way will I switch to another brand of rice. The is absolutely a perfect white rice. Cooked in a rice cooker with no issues. It's a little more money but in the long run it's worth it. Enjoy!

In Hawai'i, the rice of choice is Hinode. When I moved from there to the mainland east coast, I couldn't find anything similar. After doing extensive research, I found Botan. It's about as close as one can get to Hawai'i rice. I believe it's called "sushi" rice here. Light, fluffy, and delicious...

My wife and I have eaten this rice basically every day for the past month. We cook ours in our rice cooker with just some water (to perfection) and pair with a charred vegetable, and typically, some air fried marinated chicken breast and air fried golden potato. We add different sauces of sorts to boost flavor when needed. This way, we are able to enjoy a frugal yet delicious meal, thanks to this staple rice. If you are on the fence about it, I highly suggest you give it a chance.

We eat a lot of hello fresh and we all come to love a sticky rice. I looked for a good subsitute if they forget to put rice in the box. Well finally I found a great sticky rice. I know its good for sushi but even better for a side or a bowl. It maybe expensive but a litle goes a long way.

This is a medium grain rice that is not as sticky as short grain but not as dry as long grain. It is my preferred type and brand of rice. It's very reliable and easy to cook.

i reordered this and another product but it got canceled for whatever reason. i had quit ordering because of of a similar inncident i guess its tome again

This is the rice I grew up on, making spam musubi, fried rice, loco moco , etc! If you're looking for the Asian rice this is the one! Very good size for the price ! Especially when you're in a rush and need some for a quick dinner
