Camp Chef Propane Explorer 1X Stove, Features One 30,000 BTU Burner with Folding Side Shelf, SB30D

The price was excellent and delivery was quick and met my expectations. The stove is well built and is easily assembled and ready for camping. All that's needed is a filled propane tank. I simply used a spare 20lb tank from my home BBQ and it worked well though a 10lb would probably be more convenient for transportation. Never the less it was fine. This stove burns hot and I used cast iron for my cookware, never hotter than medium and much closer to the low setting. I purchased a the grill/griddle cooking surface for this unit and am happy with its performance. Also I installed the generic self starter and it works very well. The extensions legs are almost necessary for this 6' foot camper as i dislike have to bend over while cooking. My only negatives is i would like the on/off valve more centered to the burner and being more flame adjustable. Also you cannot see the flame with the griddle on so a view port of some kind would be a welcome addition. If I needed a new BBQ i think I would buy the BBQ attachment and use it for home and camping.

So I was pleasantly surprise with this product. I brought it for parents for commercial purposes and the fried pork chunks cooked beautiful. Be careful the heat its very powerful.

I recommend this cooker to all that enjoy outdoor cooking. It's portable and perfect for camping or simply cooking out on the patio... Big "E"

Probably good for cooking when you need a lot of heat, but ideal for canning-- peaches, tomatoes, etc. Keep the heat outside while the A/C is running inside. Great unit.

I've finally found my perfect outdoor cooking solution with and without my discada. I love camp chef quality and have owned many camp chef stoves. As a fulltime RVer now I appreciate the ease with which the stows and comes out. The transaction was smooth in all ways.

My Brother brought one of these to deer camp and I liked it so much I had to get one for myself. It's so versatile whether you are cooking with a Dutch oven or as I did and order the heavy duty griddle and grill box. I'm covered for all my camping cooking.

Although I did not buy it for camping, deep frying meet and making heavy stews was very easy and comfortable is this burner. I love the high of the flame, the comfort of the side table and the high of the legs. I'm tall (5.9) and it was nice to fine a burner that did now require me to bend or kneel to stir.

No issues so far. Still afraid of it leaking so I always turn off the valve on tank. Like that I can close it and there's a tray. Got this one because of the accessories like the griddle

Solid material and did great for our catering gig this past weekend. Boiled a large pot of water for pasta in proper time and maintained heating all throughout. Def will by the double burner next chance i get

Love it, great for outdoor cooking or travel use with accessories steel griddle or any pots. Better than a grill. Glad I hold off and own this for multi uses.
