my ankle was fractured and this boot brace help me alot with managing the pain till the bone healed.
Works as should and comes with extra pads for support!
Good quality and comfortable but has some downsides. The support for limiting moving ankle from side to side isn't much, so if you that like I did to stop certain things in my foot form being pulled, then not that great, I have t should towels and more stuff to pad in to make it work. But if you need to for other uses for which that isn't an issue then it's great aside from that.
This boot has very little heel support. It does come with pads you can add to make it tighter I tried using one as a heel pad and it made my mid foot hurt but that's related to my injury. I wasn't able to keep using this boot bc it was too painful to wear but ifnyou had broken toes or something like that it might work well. It's sturdy and wasnt too tight.
The size fit well, but the pump did not inflate well to give the extra needed support and what little it did inflate did not stay and quickly went down.
Within three days the pump up feature quit working. Unfortunately I had to have it for torn tendons so I had to keep using it thankfully it was the air release that was broken so it was stuck in the puffed up mode.
I have had an air boot before that I received from my doctor. This one did not provide even close to the same amount of support. There is only one inflatable air pocket at the front of the boot. It does not seem to provide any real support. It only cushions the shin. The support wearing the boot felt less than the support of having my foot wrapped with an ACE bandage and tape. I was disappointed and returned the item.
Provides some comfort for broken foot if I wear one of the extra pads under my foot and another on the front of my shin. Pads for vertical posts won't stay in position. Balloon on front doesn't appear to make any difference. Would return but it's better than using tennis shoes.
Upon receiving my not so new boot, because it looked used . I call the 1-800 number and report it the representative told me that the only option I had was to return it to get a new 1 and that he was going to send me a label. It's been at least 2 weeks and I still have NOT received the label to mail my used boot back! I buy or purchase everything for 1 reason as in I actually need it and not to have to return anything! I order multiple things all the time and this has never happened before.
doesn't hold your leg steady and it's very bulky for doing nothing but made my anckle hurt more
