My family got me this for Mother's Day and we use the heck out of it. It makes small or large ice cubes. I love the small cubes the most and it takes less than 6 minutes to make 9 cubes of ice. I have always wanted an ice maker and I'm so happy with this little machine. It is a little heavy so be careful if you travel with it. We go through ice in my household and this ice maker keeps up with our high demands. It works like a dream.
for the size of this ice maker and how fast it makes the ice cubes in two different sizes is phenomenal between 6 and 8 minutes 6 for the small eight for the large and it is keeps on pumping them out self-contained very easy to clean and take care of I've owned several different ones this is definitely top shelf the best you can get for the money
I was actually surprised by how well this little machine works. I wish I would have purchased it back at the beginning of summer when I needed it the most. The ice maker in our refrigerator doesn't work and although it's somewhat smaller, I think this will make an ample replacement!
First off, please know you cannot use the machine for 24 hours as it has to sit and let the refrigerant settle and then you cannot use the ice from the first four cycles just to make sure it is clean are ready to use. I have found it will take 3 cups of water to fill it to the maximum and you will need to either use filtered or purifier water to make it last the longest time or clean it every other week with citric acid to keep it clean and when not in use you will need to unplug it .It works quickly, for me at least, if you are using this for a party, start making the ice at least an hour ahead of time so you will have enough. Currently I am filling an ice bucket and then leaving it unplugged for five days to a week as it makes more than enough ice for my personal use with those 3 cups of water. It is even not that loud as the only time I really hear it is when the ice is moved to the bin from the internal freezer unit. The large pieces are great for glasses or cups, and the small pieces are perfect for putting in water bottles.
This ice maker performed as described in the listing. The instructions were very easy to follow and I had ice, almost instantly. The price of this model was nice and was actually just a bit better than one I bought from a competitor, which I returned because it was defective. Everything about the operation of this ice maker was straightforward and therefore easy to operate.
Compact machine with smaller cube recepticle to hold ice cubes, almost half the volume as larger ice machine. Makes ice at same rate as larger machines. Little more noise but not too noticable unless your are being aware of machine noise. Like the POWER button.
If you don't need huge amounts at a time ice is ready every 7-9 minutes. Unused ice melts back into water and reused again. So it doesn't need refilling often. As long as you use filtered water it stays fresh until it all gets used. It's really quiet. Doesn't take a lot of space. Easy to operate.
Absolutely terrible ice maker. Set it up and put it on clean mode 3x before using it. Followed all instructions on the manual and yet it does not make ice continuously. When it does if you don't use the ice immediately it melts away and does not resume making more. I have to keep pressing the on/off button to make ice.
When I woke up this morning it did not have any ice in it. The machine felt hot, so I turned it off for a few minutes, turned it back on and it made a loud grinding noise and stopped. So I unplugged it and am going to return it to Walmart. We have only had it a couple of weeks!
I bought this item back in July 2025. By December 2025 it started acting up. not making ice. due to the holidays, I was busy and I finally was able to contact allstate (as I bought extended warranty) now allstate is telling me to reach out to the manufacturer since it has been less than a year. I just did. now I'm waiting IF the seller will reply to me. BUT if you are considering buying this item, read this review. Do you want to spend extra for extended warranty to be directed to reach out to the manufacturer first? what's the point of having insurance anyway? I don't like being passed around, Now I'm reconsidering getting anything from walmart and getting extended warranty from allstate if this is how they handle their business.
