I bought this last week and used it to cut thru hardened steel sheeting with very limited space. It worked well, but cut thru in VERY tiny pcs. (be sure to wear gloves and glasses, grit goes everywhere!). This works well, but slowly, take your time, it works!.
I bought this a week ago. I needed to take a rusted nut off of a sway bar link end ... ya, that's right. You know what I'm talking about. I used the bit to flatten the shaft of the old ball joint SO THAT I could snap a pair of vice grips on it SO THAT it wouldn't twist while heaving on the rusted-on nut. It worked! Most importantly, the bit chewed off the steel to create the flattened surfaces I was looking to create. Limited space. Chewed it away like a cheese grater. This bit eats through steel. I'm going to try it for cutting away rusted steel for body work next. I'm imagining it will work even slicker for that application.
Cuts well and maintains its sharpness. Tungsten Carbide is stiffer than steel, so it doesn't flex when cutting nearly as much.
I use this bit for grinding and hogging out brass and steel and there is not another bit that I have tryed that works so good. It is a must have bit for anyone serious.
I purchased this last week. I had some Grade A washers and needed to make the inside diameter a little larger as that was just how they were made. The outside was the correct diameter. I had 16 washers to enlarge, and the bit went right on through, from the first one all the way to the last one without any trouble! If you need to grind some metal this is the bit for you.

I purchased this tool about a week ago to replace the 9901. The 9901 lasted a long time and I saw they had the 9901HP Max Life so I bought it in hopes that it will last even longer than the 9901. No negatives at this time.
Dremel has provided me this product in exchange for an honest review. I'm a wood carver and this bit is mainly for drawing out lines. This bit is very sharp and holds it edge, which gives very uniform lines. The bit also does not travel as much as cheaper bits. As carvers know traveling can ruin a carving. I would give this bit a solid 10. Endurance, we will see.
Been useing this carbide cutter for 2-3 years on die cast zinc and is syill sharp.
I bout this a few days ago for my son to make some custom pulling trucks for his 4H display, he was trying to cut a place in the hood for an engine to stick out, he got maybe 1/2 through the cut and the bit had no more cutting teeth on it.We had high hopes for it but it turned out to be a waste of money.
