Easy installation. But bolts need to be tightened regularly which is an annoyance

Safety rail

Partspeddlersteve February 5, 2016

It was very easy to put together. My only complaint is the rail system is "loose". As in I'm worried that a heavier person is going to get tweaked or even break. Overall though, it has served our situation quite well. And I would recommend it.

Does the job

CaregiverKelly January 31, 2016

Installation - the holes in the bracket and in the toilet just barely lined up to allow installation - but I got it to work. My Mom was afraid to use it at first because it is a bit wobbly, but after a few times, she got used to it and it is working out well for her. I like this safety frame for my first floor powder room. We have an elevated seat with a frame similar to this one, but I didn't want my guests to have to worry about using the elevated seat.

Wobbly.

Krzybug May 11, 2016

Not as secure as I would like, but after getting used to it, it works well for me.

The frame is too short for our bathroom/toilet so we had to add something at the bottom with tape. It's working, and does help with stability when using the bathroom. It's a little wobbly. We're getting used to it.

Wobbly

Dave October 19, 2025

After adding some nuts and bolts to it, it will be OK but was very wobbly before I did that.

Not sturdy

Janice July 16, 2024

The rails you are suppose to use to help you stand up are flimsy. They have no support because the are loose and move as you are trying to stand

You get what you pay for.

Diamond January 8, 2020

Purchased in November and two of the push buttons that hold the rails from swinging broke just over a month later. Returning for a refund as I don't believe a replacement will last. Weight wasn't an issue either as the person that was using the product is under 140lbs.

Awfully shaky

Emme July 1, 2016

Yesterday these promisingly shaped toilet bars arrived at the front door. Today, cannibalized for parts, the remains went out to the dumpster. Why? I got them because the design looks as though it will give a little more space for a wheelchair in a small bathroom. And because my 20+ year old bars were getting a bit shaky. These come flat in a box, and you need to swivel the joint that attaches each bar into the well made flat piece that holds everything in place. That flat piece works very well. The biggest problem is that the joint which seems to be there solely to allow the bars to ship in a flattish box (there is only one hole for the pop-up button to go into) is really, really wonky. By this I mean that the user, who presumably needs these things for stability in getting down and up from the throne, is going to be holding onto a set of bars that have all the stability of a bowl full of jello. Wiggle, wiggle, wobble! I considered myself so fortunatein surviving the up and down bits of the performance that we immediately removed the bars in favor of restoring my worn old ones -- which at least are all in one piece, no extra joints to throw them out of whack. Utter junk, apart from the solid metal section that attaches to the toilet. Do not waste your money unless you really have no other way of replacing that center section. FYI: My balance is really bad, as my legs are paralyzed and my arms have gotten weak these past few years. Getting up and down from any chair or chair-like fixture means I need a death grip on something very, very solid. These bars are as far from steady as steel is from rope.
