Emergency Essentials Dried Whole Egg Powder, 33 oz – Pasteurized, Shelf-Stable

I immediately mixed up a 2 egg batch to fry and get the real taste of this. It smells just like egg both in the can and cooked. Simply fried it looks like a tougher than fresh egg pancake but the egg texture and taste are still there. I saw a review saying it cakes more than other brands and it did. It also was a little harder to mix because of clumps but that might mean a better product because fresh egg is super sticky. The #10 can was full to the top on opening, can states it has 94 servings, price is right, taste is good and it's convenient for my baking needs so I give it 2 thumbs up.

I love eggs and this works good for me. I have scrambled and made omelettes. Taste like eggs. For those of you that have not used them, once you open the can it is recommended that you take the entire contents and put in a storage bag and get all the air out and place the bag back into the can.

I've used other brands of dried eggs in the past, and this product compares very well to them. It has a good color, flavor, and consistency. It works well in my recipes. It seems to cake a bit more than other brands but I haven't found that to be a problem. So buy with confidence: the quality is excellent and you can't beat the convenience of always having eggs on hand for your recipes.

Outstanding packaging and shipping time. Everything was double boxed, no delivery damage, cans are solid and should have a long shelf life when stored appropriately.

I served these for breakfast and no one guessed I had used dehydrated eggs. No refrigeration required makes them great for camping.

Not just for emergency this product is great for baking, scrambled eggs, omelets. I personally use it to make breakfast sandwiches.

Has a lot of uses. Taste is very good - like eggs. I add a bit of baking powder to fluff it up more for scrambled eggs. I make French toast, omlets, and use it in baking. Very good products.

I am not a prepper. We bought the Essential powdered whole eggs for camping. The taste and texture is fine - not exactly the same as a fresh egg, but good enough without complaints. The advantages are obvious - no refrigeration, lightweight, compact. However, the economy of this product simply does not justify it for our needs. Egg for egg, the powdered eggs cost about four times the cost of fresh eggs. Fresh eggs from the grocery store can easily last for a week without refrigeration and if you use farm fresh eggs that have never been refrigerated, they can last several weeks without refrigeration. So, the only advantage to these powdered eggs over fresh eggs is weight and volume. Perhaps if we were going on an extended backpacking trip, it would make sense to pay the extra for these powdered eggs, but we usually pack fresh eggs in plastic egg protector cases that only cost a couple bucks and are re-useable. Since most of our camping is car camping or canoe camping for less than a week, we are going back to fresh eggs for our camping and "at home" needs. Maybe if we go on an extended backpacking trip sometime in the distant future, we can consider this product.

These powdered eggs have a funny taste. When doing a side-by-side comparison with fresh eggs, the flavor of this powdered eggs are unfortunately way off. When combined with fresh eggs, the powdered eggs take the flavor of eggs in a negative direction. When I was in the military, they served up powdered eggs. I couldn't tell the difference between that and fresh eggs. I would have given then a 10 on a scale of 1-10, where 10 was the best. I would rate this brand of powdered eggs a 3. You can really tell that something is not right. Overall, I guess if you haven't had eggs in 6 months and you came across this can, you probably would be happy you did.
