Equate Scar Gel, Skin Care for Scars, 1.76 oz

I used this to minimize the appearance of scars after my surgery and it helped tremendously. Even my surgeon was amazed at how good they looked. It works better than the name brand in my opinion. I was consistent applying it daily and it does not take much and I had six scars that needed it. The scars are flat and smooth. Works great on old scars as well. No smell or sticky texture is a plus. Equate brand for the win, thanks Wal-Mart!

This was my last hope. No other gels, lotions, steroid creams came even close to this. Plastics won't even do a skin graph on my tattoo scar because I'm allergic to the ink. This truly is a God Send!!! I wish I had taken this sooner! It's been nothing but AMAZING! You won't regret it ! My scar doesn't have any side effects! No itching, burning, swelling, no nada! My scar is actually even looking normal now!

Works better than Scar away silicone sheets. My dog had a seizure and tore half my face, so i have reconstructive surgery. This works better by far. I would highly recommend

I have a scar on the tip of my nose and a surgical scar on the top of my thigh (6 inches long). I have been using the equate scar gel, and the scars are not as noticeable!

This stuff is amazing! I have 3 kids so lots of stretch marks and that's what I originally bought it for and started using it(not consistently at all. I was consistent for maybe a week or 2 and then not after that) and my stretch marks have lightened up so much they are almost gone! During each of my pregnancies, I would break out in this rash on my stomach and had scars from that so I started using it there and those scars are basically gone! I had a breast reduction in April 2021 and had some pretty dark scars from that and started using it on those too. One side, you can't even tell that I had a major surgery anymore! The other side is almost to that point as well. Highly recommend! I bought this stuff in January 25' and I haven't even used the whole tube (roughly 3/4 used) just to tell you how inconsistent I've been with using it because when I first bought it, I looked up reviews and saw a couple people say the whole tube lasted them about a month.

I got this bc my 6 yo has a severe allergy to mosquitoes and fleas. Meanwhile our 8 yo cat has a severe psychotic reaction to topical flea treatment and our neighbors dumped a flea infested kitten on our step. We have never had fleas before. We got infested. So my daughter had bites that turned into wounds she then picked, which are scars. I got this for those scars. And I got food grade diatomaceous earth to cover our apartment, furniture, and cats to kill the fleas.

It works as good as others I've tried but the consistency is thick and sticky. It doesn't disappear into the skin, and I often have to rinse it off after it dries.

I am not convinced that any scar gel product works at all. Science and research support the use of pure medical grade silicone. For that reason alone I have to support its use. Personally, I have witnessed some notable results. I do not have before and after use photos. Must use for a minimum of 6 months to notice improvement.

For a pathetic lack of solution and choice, at a meaningful price, to the problem of removing post operation skin scars, this is a product that is better than nothing; for it comes with a distant answer and hope that may be, in time, a long time, it may alleviate the problem.

This product is a soft gel. It works well to moisturize but it rubs off easily and so does not stay in place long enough. For me, a more substantial, ointment type gel would work better.
