Ferry-Morse Heat Mat for Seed Starting, Indoor Use, 17W

This Ferry-Morse Seed Starting Heat Mat did a fantastic job getting my habanero seeds started. I used peet pellets in a starter tray and followed the Heat Mat directions exactly. The seeds sprouted in all but two pellets. There were a total of 16 pellets with two seed sown in each. Seeds began to sprout in 5 days and in 7 days were over half sprouted. The two pellets that have not sprouted could still sprout. The seedlings are now under a grow lamp within an indoor greenhouse setup and doing great. I am extremely pleased with the results using the Ferry-Morse Seed Starting Heat Mat. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone who needs to quick start seeds.

Okay,here is what I found,when I ordered two Ferry Morse 10"×20" grow mats,separately,from the Walmart app,to warm my seed trays for fast seed germination: The first mat was perfect,as I expected. The second Ferry Morse grow mat measured 9.5"×19in ,(not big enough for standard seed starting trays!! ),and was made of a very stiff ,very different material. The Walmart app had listed it as 10"×20",so I was surprised.I returned the smaller ,second mat to the store, and bought a mat in store,perfect,like the first one I received. Previous experience tells me this mat works great,very reliably..You don't need a mat with a thermostat. Happy growing,Ya'll !!!

very easy to use. you just plug it in. it took a while for it to heat. it does not get hot, it just gets warm enough for the seeds to germinate. All of my seeds germinated except for my one pepper, but I sort of expected that since the seeds were about 3 years old.

Great May for germinating tomato seeds. Just enough warmth and I didn't worry about it getting too hot. Safe and works well. Tomatoes germinated in 3 days!!!

This heat mat doesn't put out enough heat to warm your seed starter tray. I'm using it under a Ferry-Morse seed starting tray, and it barely gives off any heat, certainly not enough to warm my seed tray to a sufficient temperature, even though this is inside my home.

Because we NEVER received it! I would give zero stars all the through this survey if I could. Not to mention the store is ALWAYS filthy, the employees are NEVER helpful, and don't even bother TRYING to get a manager on the phone to assist with ANYthing!! Not going to happen. Never shopping at Walmart again.
