FITINDEX Bluetooth Body Fat Scale, Smart Digital Weight Scale, FSA HSA Eligible, Body Composition Monitor Health Analyzer with Smartphone App

I have been using this scale for about 3 weeks. It's very accurate and the app is very helpful. It keeps track of all my numbers. It's helping me with my medical conditions by keeping track of my weight and BMI along with a lot of other information I use.

Accurate and very helpful for tracking muscle mass. I wanted to focus on increasing muscles instead of overall pounds. You open the app, step on the scale, and it sends the metrics to your phone (it also shows the pounds on the scale screen). I know it is accurate because over time it has directly increased or decreased as I upped my weight exercises versus when I broke my back and had to take a long break. This is a gamechanger for someone working on their health

I was a bit concerned what seems to be a few lbs. difference between this and my doctors scale, doctors scale weighs more. However, I weigh myself different, i.e, close off, before eating (after fasting - counting the hours of sleep) and prior to much movement. I believe this accounts for the difference. I decided to use my home scale weight for my own tracking being more readily available to maintain a consistant style of weighing. Make sure you keep on solid flat level surface and make sure you "wake it up first" for accuracy. To wake it up, I step one foot on it and pull it off, a rocking motion. Make sure it says CAL then moves to zero. Next, step on both vertical sets of silver pads, one vertical set for each foot and let it settle to your actual weight. Repeat if necessary. Any other features I don't use currently.

The ONLY ONLY ONLY feature of this product that doesn't measure up to my lofty expectations is the ease of importing the data into a different metric tracking software. BUT, that was never a promised feature, so I won't dock the product for not doing something I merely desire! I've had ZERO difficulties with downloading, installing and using the App. Calibration has been simple and flawless! Cleaning is a snap! Never experienced connection issues. Really has been instrumental in helping me stay on track - I do wish the written instructions specified the meanings of some of the metrics and how they are calculated. All of that information is available, just not handy for an old-school grandma like myself!

I liked this scale right out of the box - it is small and low enough to put anywhere in the house. It has a nice smooth design' The scale is rechargeable but also comes with 3 AAA batteries, so you can try it right away. If you are only looking for your weight, it comes up quickly with bright red LED lights. My eyesight is not very good, but I could read the scale ok without my glasses,(since I don't usually wear glasses in the shower!). One minor thing, my heels tended to stick to the scale a little bit, and since it is lightweight, I lifted one side of of the scale off the floor when I stepped off. However I solved this by sliding my feet off the scale. I am about 160 lbs with size 9 shoes, and the scale fits me very well, People with large feet may find their toes sticking out off the end of the scale, but it will still work well. I have not tried the app yet, but it seems to have all the features you would need like BMI and body fat estimates as well as keeping track of your weight. I am very happy with scale so far, I have only had it for a week, so I don't know about durability. If it lasts 3 years or so, I would probably buy a new one, as the price is very reasonable.

Im happy with the scale never had one like this before it was really easy to set up and love that it can track the whole family definitely recommend. I weighed myself at home and then went to the doctors right after and weighed the same as i did at home so I say it's accurate as well.

The second caution in this scale's pamphlet says, "Any persons who may be pregnant, suffer from osteoporosis, have a pacemaker, artificial joints, portable ECG or other metal devices implanted in their body are advised against using this scale. If doing so, please use for weight measurement exclusively and wear shoes in order to bypass the electric current when stepping on the scale for measurement." This warning also pops up on the app when you first install it. So I have purchased a scale that only one person in the house can use as anything more than a scale. That warning really should be on the webpage where you can see it before you buy. It took a bit to figure out how to get this thing working. I was going to use this scale with an Android phone and Samsung Health. Thinking I was going to use Samsung Health, I didn't initially download the Fitindex app. You must download the Fitindex app in order for the scale to work. Samsung Health does not have the scale listed in it's accessories. You need to allow data to go through the Samsung Cloud and turn on the proper health data permissions for the data to transfer between apps. Once that was all setup, the only way I could get the scale to capture data and send it is if I had the Fitindex app open and am on the measurement tab. When the data transfers to Samsung Health, the app only appears to transfer weight, body fat, and BMI to Samsung Health. So, since I don't use Samsung Health for anything else, I uninstalled it. The Fitindex app keeps all 13 measurements so I don't really need Samsung Health . OIY! Also a couple of things to note from their webpage. 1. "3. Install the batteries included in the package (they are trial versions). Please replace the batteries within 2 months to avoid leakage and damage to scale." Be prepared to replace the batteries. Otherwise, it's a pretty cool scale. It does give the 13 measurements listed above. And it looks like Fitindex keeps the data for a year, same as Samsung Health.

The three AAA batteries that came in the box are useless. They did not work at all. I had Amazon AAA batteries on hand. I put those in and those did not work. This item seems to like the expensive Energizer AAA batteries. I was a little annoyed that I had to go through several batteries to find some that worked. I do like that. It has an app that connects to my Apple Health app and transmit all my information. But just getting started was a chore.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. I've had this for less than a year, and it is completely unusable. For example, when trying to use it, it displays a bunch of 8's. I have spent so much time looking up fixes, and nothing works. I've replaced the batteries twice. I would highly NOT recommend this product.

I wear a women's size 12 and my feet barely fit. It glitched the entire time I had it and died after 6 months of hardly any use. Not the batteries, it's dead dead. I'm an average size woman, not heavy enough to break it. readings were off too. I do not recommend.
