I love rice furikake seasoning but it isn’t something available in my local grocery store. If you need an easy way to dress up plain rice as a side, this is it. Try a few different flavors and see which one you enjoy. This one is salmon flavor, and has a nice blend such that the flavor isn’t overpowering. I have to keep this product up high in my cabinet or the kids will eat it right from the container- they enjoy it.
.A good way to spice up a simple bowl of rice or even a cheap brand of ramen from the grocery store. Not an overtly fishy taste to this flavor compared to some but I think that's probably a preference to most American people's palate. There are other flavors that have a very strong fish taste if that's what you're after. If you like sushi you will love this seasoning!
Not overpowering, subtle fishy taste. It works best on fish, Asian stir-fry with vegetables, even salads with an Asian inspired dressing. My family loves it over cooked sticky style rice, where you can form rice balls and sprinkle around it. Perfect for Japanese inspired seafood dishes that you would like to have occasionally.
The container comes with a plastic lid with an aluminum seal underneath to keep it fresh. Even though it’s dried ingredients, it tastes fresh. Real salmon bits. It jazzes up rice, and I can’t wait to try it as a topping for other dishes. Adds a genuine salmon / sushi flavor to food.
I had found a locally produced Furikake in a local store and went through it in no time. I ran out in about a week because I was putting it on everything! So I ordered this brand from Walmart and was pleasantly surprised that it was just as good! Even my super picky 14 year old grandson, who fancy's himself as a food pro says it's great!
This is delicious rice seasoning. The flavor is a good fishy taste but not overly overpowering fishy flavor. It’s just right, a good balance of nori, salmon sesame seeds. I will use this umami flavored furikake for my tuna casserole to enhance flavor. And in my homemade ramen. It’s a great price for a great product.
a little goes a long way, which I love in a product. It's robust. perfect blend of flavors. not too salty! i tried it on eggs first, and they were delicious. sesame seeds give a good little crunch and add to the flavor. im going to use this on rice, ramen, homemade Pho, fish...its unlike any seasoning ive had. the seaweed in it gives a nice crunch and burst of flavor, too! I am so excited that it tastes so good and it came well wrapped/packaged and arrived quickly. its in a glass jar which is fantastic and you get a healthy amount for the money so it's a great value. love this abd will continue to purchase this and am looking forward to trying their other flavors. If you like salmon you will LIVE this.
This furikake is a nice little upgrade for plain rice, noodles, or even eggs. The salmon flavor comes through without being overpowering, and it adds just enough salt and crunch to make simple food more interesting. It is one of those pantry items that quietly makes lazy meals taste like you tried.
I'm new to these flavors. I've been privileged enough to try things I normally may not have or had never heard of. This is one. I don't eat sushi but I do eat cooked salmon. This tastes like salmon. It doesn't have any weird off seafood taste. It tastes pretty direct and immediately like you took some salmon out of the oven. It has other flavors too, so it's a complete seasoning. There is salt and some sugar in it, both of which you get hits of completely separately. It's pretty interesting. You're like, ok salmon wow. Then ohh salt. Then mmm sugar. I think I went a little heavy when I first tried it. To be honest, I don't know what seaweed taste like, so I didn't immediately say oh that's seaweed flavor, but you see it. You really don't need a lot. I added it to jasmine rice, which I love, and it also added some nice little crispy textures. So I've never had this stuff before but I think it is pretty good, man. The packaging was superb. It is glass so they really took caution that it didn't get damaged. It was wrapped in a sealed bubble wrap then in plastic then in more bubble wrap. The jar itself has a really nice peeling foil seal on the lid that keeps it really fresh and safe. Gotta love that. Arrived in 1 day.
I used this to season my Onigiri. It adds a great additional flavor. This tastes different than the ones I've gotten at Poke Bowl shops - more flavor, less crunch than those. It does add a great additional texture, though. Highly Recommend.
