Google Nest Hub Max - Charcoal

An excellent upgrade over the standard sized Google Nest Hub. Bear in mind that if you wish to use the camera as a Nest Camera, you will need to subscribe to Nest Aware to be able to keep video and events. If like me, you already have Nest cameras, it works out well. Also note, the camera does not have night vision, so it really isn't very functional at night unless you leave a light on for it. The sound quality is excellent and makes watching YouTube videos pleasant. But, remember, you can't watch Amazon Prime Video on it, so if you use that, you'll have to use another device.

I picked this up thinking "Max" meant it had a V8 engine under the hood, but it turns out it just means it's been eating its vegetables. The screen is gorgeous and the speakers actually have some kick, but the software is still running at the same "leisurely" pace as my smaller Nest Hubs. It's the same brain, just in a much larger body. That said, it has become the ultimate desk companion. It handles my constant stream of questions like a pro and pulls up videos without me having to sacrifice any real estate on my actual PC monitor—which, with my setup, is precious cargo. The best part? It actually knows its place. It picks up my voice in the office and stays quiet when I'm in another room, which is more than I can say for some people. If you want a big, beautiful screen for Gemini to show off on and you don't mind the "relaxed" software speed, this is a great choice. It does exactly what I need it to do—just with a bigger footprint!

For me, Hey Google answers MUCH better than Alexa. Commands are easier, you don't have to have exact words. Only 2 downfall after having the big Echo Show is that Google doesn't seem to be as versatile with your Home Screen, and the speaker is MUCH better on the Alexa.

This device is only good in one room and that is the kitchen! It does amazing with recipes and how to videos, but it’s nothing different you can’t do with an android phone or apples siri. I returned mine a week after having it for these reasons; The sound quality! If you’re like me and like to have your music loud, but sound good, this isn’t for you. once you get it up to a certain level it sounds very distorted and screech like. my second reason; The microphone. if you’re watching or listening to something a little ways away from the device and try to talk to it like normal, good luck. i had to scream at it and that’s if it understood me. often times i would say something and it would have something completely different than what i had said. Response time; my google home mini responded faster than the hub. Which you’d think it’d be the other way around given this one is $220 dollars more and it understood me better. Also, this isn’t really a hint, but more of a heads up. This is not like an ipad or tablet, you have to control it only by your voice and search netflix and youtube with your voice ( i knew this before buying it, but i’m just letting you know ). The good things; it was quite easy to set up and use, it worked well with my home devices ( if it understood what i was saying ), and was good for music at low volumes. But for what i was using it for, it just wasn’t worth the almost $250 price tag.

this seller is a scammer!!!! this item came damaged (probably during shipping) %26 then i sent it back through mail %26 now the seller is refusing to refund me!!!!! $230!!!

It looks like a scam I ordered a Google Nest Hub Max and I received two ThermoFlasks. Look at the photo. Walmart should investigate this.

Internal Camera doesn't work on this Google Nest Hub Max. Even, when I contacted Google Support, they don't know how to add the internal camera. It is a shame the owners don't even know how their products work. Support assumes the device is a "factory defect". They instructed me to return it to Walmart for a refund.

This product was not what i expected. its really not much more then a speaker. You can't add apps, you can't load or view anything from Google Drive, you can't adjust the angle of the tilted screen and you cant view all your calendars with in the account that you subscribe or share. I had a chromebook and a Bose Bluetooth speaker in my kitchen to view my homemade recipes and view the chorelist for the kids. I just wanted to replace the two items with one and add the handfree feature and touchscreen assuming it was a Google Tablet mounted to a good speaker. Google let me down and I'm starting to rethink the idea of investing as much as I do in Google! Sad but design and functionality of their products is not whats is expected.

I purchased Google Home Nest Devices through the Dell website. The devices are failing to work properly just after one year of use. After contacting Google Support multiple times I am only getting transferred from one department to another with no resolution. A shame that some much money is spent on a device only to have it fail and the company that makes the device fail to offer support or replacement for a device that is defective.
