Great for dinner or supper! Great tasting veggie! Easy to cook, no mess! I was raised on dried beans and cornbread, and this is a very inexpensive way to feed your family! Can do in crock pot or on stove top!
I ham and beans every Sunday it's like my grandmother used to do I just don't let the meatloaf it she always did she always had meatloaf and ham and beans on Sunday after church
Great product that I will use with other seasonings, along with the ham bone that I kept for the purpose of preparing White Beans and Ham, cornbread and steamed rice.
I washed beans thoroughly and only had to pick out a few that were dark. The rest were perfect. I added some chopped ham and seasonings. Ate with cornbread and it was so good!!!
I loved the taste of the beans when cooked in a crockpot the only thing I was missing was cornbread
This is a good brand of affordable beans to have on hand.
after cooking ham i keep the bone for bean soup
I love Great Northern beans and they are usually good regardless of the brand purchased. I bring to a boil, let set an hour, pour off water, rinse pot, and start boiling again with fresh hot water and chopped onions before reducing heat to simmer. Just before beans are done, test them, I add my spices and a pinch of salt, and bacon, ham, etc., if using meat.
i soaked over night and then took 1.5 hours taking the skins out of the water and off the beans. the entire soup would have been skins. i cant tell you without seeming like its a lie but 90% of the entire bag had a skin i had to toss out. I'll never buy again. I'll buy a brand name so the skins are easier to toss out. Majority of the time, i get about 30 with other brands. ive been trying to save money but this was a sick product.
Because you sent navy beans not great northern. Ruined the whole dinner. Walmart needs to find experience shoppers, the kids you have doing most of it doesn't know the difference between beans and who knows what else.
