We made a vegetable lasagna with the noodles purchased and it came out excellent better than expected the noodles were very good almost dumpling like I loved it it was very surprise and actually only thing I like to get my noodles on sale I like a dollar but I guess lasagna noodles cost more
I like these lasagna noodles, but on this pickup order, most of the boxes had been dropped. So far, the two boxes I've used have had about half of the noodles broken. For my own use, that's ok, but I make lasagna and donate through Lasagna Love, and I want them to be as perfect as I can get them. I won't use broken noodles in the lasagnas I give away. Because of this, I won't order my lasagna noodles as pickup items again. Or, if I do, I will check the boxes before I accept the bags.
I find that Great Value products are a much more affordable and better value from their national brand competitors and the quality is just as good if not better. This Great Value lasagna lives up to that reputation and unlike the trend of “shrinkflatipn”when many national brands are reducing their package sizes to 14 or even 12 ounces, this is a full 1 pound/16 ounces.
This is my pasta of choose to make lasagna from scratch, along with Great Value shredded mozzarella cheese, Great Value ricotta cheese and a jar of Classico sauce. It just works the best. All the broken pieces lend themselves to lasagna soup with tiny meatballs and that also is very good. Use your Italian seasoning to add to the flavor of both. It's very convenience to have in the pantry. You can buy the tall containers, glass or plastic right there in housewares at Walmart to store your pasta, works for other long pastas too. Pasta in containers look pretty on the shelf. Just saying. Note: both meals freeze very well so make double.
This was my first lasagna. I had never done it before. These noodles worked great. I've done spaghetti and macaroni, but never these huge sized noodles. Small noodles and spaghetti are easy to remove from heat and put in a colander, and they separate easily. I did the same thing with these huge noodles putting them right into the colander and letting them sit there while I continued cooking. Ten or fifteen minutes later, the noodles were folded together and difficult to unfold. Next time I figure that I need to lay these noodles out flat somewhere on a plate right after removing from the heat, so as to retain their flatness and texture and avoid tears and breakage. These noodles worked great. I would buy them again.
Delivered in great condition, with long expiration date. Wonderful tasting, just like any other name brand pasta. Could not beat the price for such a good tasting pasta.
This product is reasonably priced compared to other brands. However, it had weevils and was bitten by this insect. We had to throw it away and lose our money.
I ordered 10 boxes and only received three. I also received 45 different items that I did not order. I called in the automated system but not let me speak to in life agent so I requested a call back. When I received the call back. The agent would not connect a call. So I ended up with $300 with the groceries that we're not mine and missing items. That's typical customer service from Walmart. Delivery nowadays.
I have always only used this brand of lasagna noodles and have always been able to get 2 9x13 dishes plus have 1 or 2 noodles extra. This package did not contain 16 ounces as usual because I barely had enough for 1 dish. I do not know what happened with this package but it definitely was at least 8 noodles short as it takes me that amount for a dish. I had to buy another pack from another grocery store to finish my dishes. Please, don't let this happen again , it's very disappointing.
these noodles shredded into strips! every single one that i cooked! i wouldnt waste my time or money on these noodles again. as careful as i was, right out of the boiling water.. shredded. you can see the uncooked noodles have lines in them.. awful!
