The Great Value pasta is actually priced reasonably and of good quality. I don't normally purchase Great Value products, but you genuinely save a decent amount for almost the exact same quality pasta--I've never noticed a difference between this and name brand.
Barilla had been my favorite brand for decades. I thought I would try Great Value after prices kept inching up incrementally to the point where they nearly doubled. I can't tell the difference between Barilla and Great value. Same chewy al dente texture, and same mild flavor that pairs perfectly with sauce. I have permanently switched to Great Value for all my pasta needs.
I had truly enjoyed the salad mix. This is an excellent product. It's good for people that are on a tight budget. It cooks up really fast and the kids seemed to love it. I put all sorts of stuff with these peon needing noodles. I can make them in Thai I can make them into comfort noodles some of the kids like just butter and garlic garlic on them. It's all depends on the child. Enjoy.
I was pleasantly surprised at how good this is. As long as you don't overcook it, it's as good as Barilla. It's not home made or fresh, but it works in most dishes. Penne is great for light or heavier sauces. it's my favorite pasta to pair with asparagus or garden green beans.
Whether or not we plan on cooking pasta for a meal, we always make sure we have some stocked in our pantry. Great value brand cooks up nice (as long as u don’t overcook it. It is not forgiving to over boiling). I love it for my family because it’s less than 1.00/1lb box. I used to get my pasta from Aldi but they charge over a dollar for 12oz bags. This is such a Great Value (pun intended).
Great Value dried pastas and egg noodles really are a great value. The pasta serves its purpose of carrying sauces (where the real flavor lies in pasta dishes), and the price is unbeatable. Can I tell the difference between GV and ultra-premium brands like Central Market Organic? Yes, there's a slight difference in texture, but unless I'm making a special, ultra-premium meal where the pasta is the star instead of just a vessel, why pay three to four times more?
This penne pasta is a total lifesaver for busy weeknights. It cooks up perfectly al dente every single time and has a great texture that holds onto sauces really well. Whether I am making a simple butter and herb dish or a heavy meatball marinara, it always comes out tasting fresh and delicious. It is incredibly filling, and for the price, you really cannot find a better value. It has definitely become my go-to base for quick and satisfying comfort food cravings.
Great value penne pasta has equal if not better flavor and texture as similar brand name pastas. it's wonderful as a side dish, or a main dish. As an ingredient in cold salads or hot salads, it's just an excellent and versatile pasta cut. it holds up well and preparation is a breeze. it's not only filling, but it's also yummy.
For my personal convenience, I order this by the case due to the quality ingredients. Our entire family purchases only this brand, normally you're just paying for the name brand. If you try this one time, I guarantee that you'll be impressed by the taste and quality.
Great quality pasta 🤤 YUMMY 😋 without the high price. you can fill a pantry for next to nothing in costs and have a long shelf stable pantry staple at your fingertips
