Fresh beans with hardly any split beans like most low priced pinto bean bags have. Cook like all good pintos and have very good flavor and texture. Will buy again when needed. Vac seal them to keep fresh till you need them. Bulk buy really saves you money.
These dried pinto beans are some of the cleanest I have bought. Production and presentation of dried pinto beans has improved over the years so that there are no little stones or pieces of soil in the bag with these beans. I still wash them before I cook them but it is a real pleasure to look for debris and find absolutely none. The beans cook up well, taste good, and present even better.
these beans taste just as good as any other name brands but kinda expensive for a 20 pound bag beans use to be the cheapest thing for a meal now they are getting expensive to but i do recommend buying them buy the way buy a bunch of bags because the bean %26 soup lines will be coming back.
I often buy these 20 lb bags for my brothers who can't get these fresh beans. We were raised on pinto beans and dearly love them. Rural areas don't have choices like I do in the city. So I get the fresh beans at Walmart super center and get them to my brothers. They rave about how good they are and well worth the 180 mile trip to get them there.
I opted forgetting the largest bag I could find and it was much cheaper than having to buy the smaller ones over and over again. the quality was good. I did not receive any Pebbles like I have with other brands. a simple rinse and they were good to go, the larger bag lasted a couple months or so as whenever they were being made. it was just a small or medium sized pot, I will definitely be purchasing another bag in the future. always good to have dry beans and rice in the pantry
this year I wanted to make sure a friend had a pantry full of basics that would help them in case I couldn't get out. this economy has been so extreme, that the food basics are the best insurance policy anyone could have this year has thrown all of us for a loop, so basics are the gift of choice
This is exactly what you would expect it to be, 20 pounds of dried pinto beans, nothing more nothing less. It fits the bill if you need a large quantity of pinto beans. They cooked up nicely in my pressure cooker.
This product is a Great Value 20Lb bag of dry pinto beans. If you are going to buy them and soak them yourself this is the way to go price per ounce. With Walmart plus this is a heavier item that I like to have delivered.
I knew I was buying "cheap" brand when I bought them for delivery. I didn't realize they were so small and they kinda turned into a bean soup. The taste was fine but when I cook/ eat pintos I prefer they are actual beans not a soup. I've cooked beans for years so yes, I do know how to properly cook a pot of beans.
Price good for the package size Beware: these beans were very tiny. I made 5.5 cups within 45 minutes..pressure cooker. End result kind of mushy, not a lot of whole beans left. taste was good. might be used for refried beans or bean dip. I tried cooking another batch less time 30 minutes, stayed whole but not quite done all the way.
