Bought this a few weeks back after reading some reviews on it. Turned out as expected. I was pleased with it's operation and it was a good purchase.
I tried a different kind of machine for a while. I couldn't stand it. Nothing beats an air-popper and this one is great! Plus I love the colour.
I bought this product about a month ago from Walmart because I could not find the size we needed elsewhere
Works great and is good quality. I chose this for quality instead of buying a different cheaper brand.
This popper is relatively quiet. The corn that I use (a big bag from Sam's Club) pops with about 8-10 kernels remaining. The popped corn is not as crispy as "stove-popped" using oil, but is crispier than my other air popcorn popper. I do not use the cup to melt butter, so I can not say anything about that.
After countless years of fighting with several different makes and models, I am VERY pleasantly surprised and also pleased with the performance of this unit. Use fresh, good quality kernels ( read as brand name - avoid the budget stuff ) and nearly every kernel pops. No more bowls filled with molar busting surprises. Haven't had this level of quality since the highly coveted Proctor Silex Popcorn Pumpers that were produced in the early 90s and people STILL look for. After reading countless reviews, this unit has proven a winner. Anyone experiencing unsatisfactory results with this should be looking to lay the blame on low quality or old popping kernels, as the unit itself performs extremely well with fresh product - complete popping with almost zero waste, and in a timely manner. Would not hesitate to recommend.
I like air popped popcorn over kettle popped, It's the oil I taste and not the corn flavor. When you remove the oil like with a microwave popper, one or two kernels burn and masks the whole lot. Who likes burnt popcorn? Not me! Sometimes a cheese flavoring nails the coup-de-gras of perfect popcorn The only reason it didn't give it a 5-star rating is the fan speed is too high and kick out several hot unpopped kernels that missed the full effect of the hot air. It wastes kernels .
I bought this popper primarily because of the price and the 5 year warranty. It pops well, and I don't fret about a few stray kernels.
makes lots of popcorn, Built solid and easy to use. Lacks a switch but unplugging to stop is also a safety feature.
It has no on off switch so turns on when plugged in. Unpoped corn is blown out of popper and many unpopped kernels remain. Popcorn is so dry salt and seasonings won't stick to it.
