Fantastic coconut milk at a wonderful price!! This coconut milk is just as good as the Thai Kitchen brand at a much better price point. The flavor is delicious and true coconut flavor. Not chock full of cheap chemicals and preservatives like some other brands and the can is almost half coconut cream which lets you know that this is top quality and filled with nutrition from the healthy fats. My go to coconut milk now and can also double as coconut cream. Highly recommend.
This is my go to for making coconut curry or even when I bake coconut macaroons. The texture is not too watery and the flavor is mild which makes it perfect for cooking or baking. Quality is good but I do wish it didn’t require a can opener.
I love TK brand but I wanted to be adventurous and try 1 can of the other 2 brands Walmart carries. Well, this is my first taste test of Imperial Dragon and I am not impressed. I guess I would buy it if my usual brand was out and I needed it for a recipe but I am not impressed. I have one more brand to try next week and will see how that goes.
I found that products out of thailand usually get the best reviews from my family However, Thai products that have English labels feel less authentic to me. Since a coconut has hair and produces warm milk, is a coconut considered a mammel?
If you have lots: CMP13NO3072E or CMP13N03071E go ahead and throw them out. I opened up both and they were turned (Had gone bad). The can didn't have any dents or holes so I'm not sure why- usually it's fine but I buy at least one can of coconut milk a month so these were purchased at different times and BOTH were bad. I tried contacting the company but could not find their web page. Needsless to say I've lost some confidence in the company.
Imperial Dragon was our go-to of coconut milks, their consistency and richness is the (coconut) milk was why it was a winner. Now the last few purchased have been cans of oil. Very little ‘milk’ when I put it in my food it gets it very oily unpleasant
This coconut milk is from a grated coconut meat that was done too close to the coconut shell. Some scrapings of the coconut shell appears in the coconut milk. Perhaps they needed to use a more effective strainer or not to scrape too close to the shell. Or if you end up with this product you need to strain it first before pouring into your recipe.
The can was not expired good until May 2025 it looked odd when I opened it ..off color and separated into tiny flecks not the normal look of coconut milk especially after it's been shaken in the can. It didn't taste off or smell bad so I used it in my Thai soup along with a can of Goya coconut milk. It was like I had added a can of water! Richness and flavor of coconut was missing.... Fortunately I was able to locate one more can of Sa Via coconut milk and that saved my soup. Imperial Dragon was a total waste of money
Ordered 2 can of coconut milk. Coconut milk came broken cans. It's like who ever picked up the items intentionally picked up two broken cans to send. It's so disrespectful.
Item was expired on 4/30/25. Why was this allowed to be sold???? Waste of money etc and couldn't make my dish
