Using it on a 1000-gallon stock tank pool ,had a smaller used intex pump which worked very well, but decided to go larger to circulate water at a faster rate.

We live in the country and have iron in our water. It always takes several days to a week to clear the pool along with a hillbilly filter added to it. I thought I would try this bigger, sand filter and see if it helped. I hooked it up, added the chemicals and turned it on. I was very impressed with the power and quietness of the filter. You will need 2- 50lb bags of sand to fill it past the minimum point. The filter started right up. I was impressed with the power of the flow coming out of it. The current nearly reached across the emtire 18ft pool. I did not hook up my hillbilly filter just to see how the new intex filter did first. I came back outside 3 hours later and the water was nearly clear!!!!! I couldnt believe it! After 5 hours of use, its almost perfect! I am so impressed and happy with my purchase!! I would highly recommend!!!

My pool is 22' round and 53" deep. This pump has plenty of power to keep the water filtered and clear. I run mine non-stop from pool open to close, so the end of May until mid-September. I had to replace my last one (same model) in July because the control panel broke so i couldn't turn it on or off. It's a terrific pump.

So far this Sand filter pump has run great we have had no problems with it and I think it cleans the pool much better than the regular pump we had by Intex that wasn't even lasting through the summer so right now we are really enjoying the sand filter pump thanks Intex for making such a great product

I wish I had bought this pump a month ago! Replaced the original small pump this pump moves the water really well. I'm using filter balls instead of sand and so far this pump has been an excellent upgrade!

We lost part to our old pump and just decided to buy a new one we love this pump hooked up to our old connections and came with new connections also works way better than the on that came with the pool would recommend to any one. Took almost 180lbs of sand awesome pump

This guy is a great sand filter. It is strong and I love that it has a timer so I can set it and forget it. Walmart had the best price around and shipped to me in one day. The shipping communication began immediately upon check out and the status updates continued until it was delivered. You can opt out if you don’t want updates. I bought this to replace an older sand filter that was the same so my other filter attachments worked to set it up, but understand that if you did not have an intex sand filter before, you will need to order the pool attachments. It comes with the motor, sand container, control lever and hoses but to be lear - it will not have the parts that attach directly to the pool, so if you need them order them as an add on.

Pay attention, Was looking for sand filter / saltwater generator system and clicked the smaller filter in the options, I overlooked the fact they had just filters in the options with filter/generator options. Bad options layout, works pretty well though, super easy setup. Pressure gauge placement is awkward being in the back which I see as a design flaw at least from an aesthetics standpoint, hard to keep things neat and tidy when setting up when you need to view 360 degrees of the unit.

Hole in hose but already had set up with sand and didn’t want to do the work to return. They could send a hose to replace but gave a small refund that doesn’t cover the cost of a new one.

I wouldn't recommend this seller, Spreetail. I ordered a pool pump and got a big roll of weed barrier for landscaping. And now it's a hassle to get my refund. Also had to return to FedEx which is 45 min from my home. 🙁🙁
