This is the best machine you have ever built. If you added the multi-stream it would be even better. This discontinued machine is better than any current design you have on the market right now.
I have looked at many coffee machines that met most all of my criteria which is a stainless steel carafe, 10-12 cups, easy access to water reservoir, timer and a strong or bold brew. Many machines did not meet what I wanted. Keurig Duo with the ability to move the reservoir is amazing. I no longer had to pull the machine out from below the cabinet to fill it. The nozzle satures “ALL” the coffee not like the overrated and priced retro machine in many colors online. I was willing to spend much more for a coffee maker as long as it had the features I was looking for. This coffee maker is very quiet unlike my last one that made all sorts of noises. The coffee is hot and flavorful. It stays hot in the carafe for more than two hours which is perfect for my household. The K cup option has not been used at this time since I have had it only two weeks.I am very happy with my purchase.
We had the carafe model that lasted 5+ years and the only upgrade I wanted was the thermos model and I wanted to keep the K-dou system mainly for the Choice of capsule versus filter. I prefer filter and could make it without the capsule. I drink my coffee black with no sugar so believe me when I say it taste better because I never doctor it up. For me it's rare, my wife more frequently, but sometimes I just don't have the time and it's nice to just jam in a capsule and….done! So I'm happy with the choice. The water reservoir being transferable is hyped up, but it stays in the same spot with the reservoir on the same side always so neat trick but but too handy. I really like the auto program, especially since it falls right into the thermos so it doesn't sit on the burner and taste old after 10 minutes. I guess I could just transfer it but sometimes I come down an hour or so after my wife because we don't always work the same schedule. Well, the coffee tastes like it was just made for both of us without running around in the morning making coffee and preparing for work. It's the little things that make my day! Speaking of little, you barely see it on the counter! I though no way this makes the same amount as my old machine, it does!
Love the compact size and the removable/adjustable water tank. Great if you want to make a full pot with timer or single cup with pods. Just what I was looking for.
I love how you can change where the water reservoir sits. It's awesome how compact this is — fits perfectly on our coffee bar cart and would also be great for dorms and any small spaces, while still holding more coffee than just one person could consume!
I absolutely love this coffee maker! It stays hot in the pot for several hours. If you just want a cup there's that option too which my teenager likes. It reminds me of the coffee pots that sit on the table at Ihop. Just cute and attractive on my counter. I do use a paper filter in the mesh filter. It makes clean up easier but definitely not necessary.
We bought this coffee maker a few weeks ago. My wife and I love it! The ability to choose pot or single cup is great. Our counter space is limited and the duo is so compact. The other product that has pot and k-cup side by side would not fit in our space. The insulated pot does keep the coffee hot but it's exterior is not warm. So, it can conveniently be placed on counter/table without worry. Also, cool to touch exterior is great if grandchildren are close by.
I love this Keurig. Makes great coffee, brews fast, and it's very practical and requires less space given the multi placement of the reservoir. Also, the reservoir is a great size.
The ease of use is great compared to 5cup drip makers I had been using. Coffee tastes fresh and stays warm in SS carafe. Drip coffee drawer is a tad flimsy and requires a light hand to operate I also did not want espresso maker. I can buy pods for that if I want it. I also love the bigger water supply. Watch the height needed to open pod door.
I was a skeptic that one device could do it all well. Well, I was wrong. We love our new duo. How cool to be able to pop a pod for a quick cup, or just as easily brew up a pot of half-caff! It was quick and easy to learn how to use it, and we have brewed bunches of batches of coffee without a flaw.
