Kidde C3010D Carbon Monoxide Detector with Digital Display and 10-Year Worry-Free Lithium Battery, KIDDE

I don't do reviews that often, but tonight, I have to share how this alarm probably saved my dad's life. I purchased this alarm last week before the major ice storm crippled the southern US. When I called my dad this evening, the alarm was going off in the background. At first, neither I nor him was aware of which alarm was going off, but when I realized it was a carbon monoxide alarm, I was able to tell him to get out of the house and was able to get the fire department dispatched. When the fire department came, they notified him that there was CO present due to him attempting to use a gas stove (which we learned is now faulty). He is safe with a family member, and we will be getting the oven replaced, but had I not bought this alarm last week, the results would've been devastating. This carbon monoxide was truly a lifesaver.

During the freezing rain and sleet we had about a month ago, we lost power and water for about 7 days. We set up our LG Dearborn heater to keep our house warm. I noticed our Carbon Monoxide monitor was out of date so I ordered a new one which arrived the next day. It was easy to setup and worked great. It had a display showing what the level of Carbon Monoxide was. Great product that eased our concerns during a tough time.

I purchased this as an extra carbon dioxide monitor to take with us on family trips. We stayed in a cabin and no worries about carbon dioxide mishaps. It just adds another layer of protection and is easy to move from place to place.

I have had a good experience with Kidde products in the past. I like that this model doesn't need a battery replaced until after 10 years. FYI, for some Kidde models, the company recommends that you replace the model after 10 years. Unsure if that's the case for this model since I just bought it. ;-) Set up was super easy.

Arrived at the store promptly. Easy open package and easy install. in my case, I just used the previously installed plate for the new monitor. slid right in and started working immediately.

Kidde has been a reliable brand for me over the years, I was pleased to find this model sold by Walmart.

To clarify, I initially was sent, in error, both types of this model, the display model and the non-display model although I ordered and was charged for the two display models. Recently, I returned and received credit for returning the non-display model. I now need to order again the second display model. After that occurs, I will resubmit my evaluation. Thank you.

It was brought to my attention that this item was already expired when I purchased it. Why?? Why are things being allowed to be bought on here when they're no longer good to serve the purpose?? It's a shame and ridiculous! Someone needs to contact me about this matter....soon. Just like with another product on here, the LG water filter, it is a third-party product lacking the necessary OEM filtration standards from the research I did.....so crazy...

Nothing wrong except that it was received OPENED previously. Went to the store and the ONE that they had in stock was also opened. Purchased elsewhere.

i returned the products 10days ago along with a box of 10 smoke detectors but still have yet to see my full refund
