I got this mini fridge for my elderly mother's bedroom. It was available in a faux wood finish/color which matched the furniture in her room. I didn't think she would accept it if it didn't match her furniture, lol.
I read the reviews and saw that is does NOT have auto-defrost. It's a manual defrost, which means unplugging it and letting it defrost and then wipe up the mess.
I noticed frost build-up within 2 weeks and made it 2.5 months before the frost built-up too much. The fridge is not heavy, and defrosting it took minimal effort.( took it outside and splashed hot water on the first until it all fell off).
The major pain about this fridge is that the temperature control knob is temperamental. The slightest change in the knob either sends the temp below freezing or catapults it above 40. I bought a digital WiFi thermometer for it. The fridge does not have a temp display, but it had a fairly reasonable Black Friday price around $150.
With the frost growing, we can't put anything near the back of the fridge or it freezes solid. So we lost a lot of usable space.
All in all, it's ok for the price if you have the capability to carry outside every other month.
