Lodge Cast Iron Seasoned Casserole Pan 9 X 13

This Lodge Cast Iron pan is great! I got the casserole pan and it's perfect for all kinds of vegetables, roasts, meats, casseroles, cakes, etc (it measures 9 by 13 inches). Our favorite thing to make in this pan is roasted potatoes. The potatoes come out soft in the middle with a delicious crispy exterior like only cast iron can do. I have multiple cast iron pans of various shapes and sizes, all Lodge brand. I got several pans when I got married 20 years ago and they are still going strong! It is made in the USA and will last generations! Lodge cast iron is high quality, heavy duty, and made in the USA (in Tennessee). I really appreciate and trust this company- they've been around for over a century! Cast iron is healthy (no weird chemicals, just iron), it heats evenly, and it's so easy to use. It may seem intimidating, but its actually really simple. If you're new to cast iron, just remember that oil is your friend. These come pre-seasoned, so to keep that naturally nonstick surface, don't let the pans soak in water, ever. Simply handwash, dry immediately, and oil your pan inside and out before putting it away. That's it. This casserole pan also has handles so it's easy to place in and take out of the oven. I'd highly recommend Lodge Cast Iron to anyone! It makes for a great wedding gift that will last for generations!

If your needing pans don't buy the non stick cheap ones. They put off harmful chemicals in your body. According to many nutritionists, cast iron and glass pans are the best. I highly recommend these cast iron lodge pans. They are good for your body..

This is an American-Made cast iron pan manufactured by Lodge. This 9x13 pan has side walls which are approximately 2.5" tall, which makes it perfect to use as an open roaster. The pan is extremely heavy and seems to disperse heat uniformly. Empty the pan weighs in at a touch over 8 pounds. The pan arrived pre-seasoned so I followed directions and just used a little oil and roasted my spaghetti squash to perfection. My squash produced so liquid while baking and formed a thick baked on pool but clean-up was remarkably easy. Afterwards I did wipe the inside down with a oiled paper towel and it's ready for the next session. This casserole can easily bake a full meal for a family of six. Only word of caution is, never leave leftovers in the pan and simply refrigerate... cast iron does no do well with any wet substance sitting in it for a length of time. There is a warning on the product that states that it's not for stove-top use, and Lodge does suggest using oil or a spray bakers oil/flour spray mixture.

I just received a set of Lodge Seasoned Cast Iron Cookware. The Casserole dish measures 9 inches by 13 inches and about 2 and 1/4 inches deep. Cast Iron Cookware is slightly heavy but will last a lifetime. Most of us older people have been around Cast Iron items all of our life and just know that food always tastes better when made in them. This Casserole Pan has a handle on each end that makes it easy to get out of the oven. Great cakes are also made in these pans and that is what I will be using mine for most of the time. This Set is already seasoned with oil to make it ready for use. I just spray mine with a light coat of cooking spray to insure the food does not stick. Easy clean up by hand washing , rinsing, and hand drying. I do like Cast Iron and will recommend it.

I have always wanted to have a casserole pan like this one. It is so well made, and such high quality. I have heard about the Lodge brand before, and know that they are well-known for making excellent cookware and bakeware. This is such a heavy pan, but I carry it around to potlucks with pride. It also just looks so attractive. It takes a little extra work to keep this clean, but it is well worth that effort. You have to apply a thin layer of cooking oil to the surface after cleaning it completely. It was actually very easy to clean, and the max and cheese I made in it turned out perfectly. I love the idea that this is something I will use for the rest of my life, and will also be something I can pass on to my kids, and that they can in turn pass on to their families. This is something I think they will actually want to have and use frequently. This is such a great value, because even though it may be pricier than other pans, it will last so much longer. I would highly recommend this cast iron casserole pan to anyone who wants to cook with excellence and have a product to pass on to generations.

I have a set of Lodge brand cookware that I love and just recently added a casserole pan to my set. Nice and sturdy set. Cooks wonderfully and is easy to clean. I have been impressed by this brand. Holds up well. This is a must buy if you enjoy cooking. Price is very reasonable!

I am super excited to have this casserole Pan and I it will be baking casseroles and roasts with this. The reason why I chose lodge cast iron which cast iron is great reviews and and made in America. The cast Iron has already been seasoned with oil no so it will be good to go no need to do any seasoning before use. What's great about cast iron is the even heat when it cooks.. The casserole Pan is not that heavy and and I would highly recommend this to anyone give it a try and you will see the difference in your baked goods.

The Lodge 9 by 13 casserole pan is a great pan to have. I love that it's already pre seasoned . I also love that it comes with clear instructions on how to clean the pan. Hand wash, dry promptly , apply thin layer of oil over entire surface after each use. It's so easy to use and so easy to clean. I was always afraid of using cast iron because I didn't know how to clean it, but Lodge makes it so easy. Would definitely recommend to others.

There is nothing like cast iron. I grew up with my Mom using her favorite cast iron pan for just about anything you could think of cooking. It is an easy way to incorporate iron into your diet, as I was always reminded as a child. It is proven that higher acidic foods really pull out and add more iron to your diet. That in itself is a great reason to use these style pans. The pan is quite heavy to pick up and move around, but other then that, it cooks great. Clean up is easy and make sure to oil it up for proper care of the pan and ready it for the next time. Happy cooking!!!

This cast iron pan needs to be seasoned well. It is preseasoned but I washed & seasoned myself as it had glue residue inside it. Pan looks nice but a bit cheaper and thinner than my moms older cast iron from back years ago but a good budget cast iron pan for casserole or cakes. The right size for a good portion of food. Could do cornbread in it also.The handles with brand and date made it nice.
