The best canned pie filling I've found for the money. Firm apples, and a lot of them. Flavor is great for my uses--cinnamon and caramel notes work right in. I don't need to add so many additional flavors. I have several cans on hand for various needs.
It made a yummy pie! Delicious!
Fresh, made from scratch taste without all the work. Nice hint of caramel %26 cinnamon.
It is a good product & I recommend it. The apples were like I used fresh apples. I made Dutch apple pies the turned out perfect!
sOME OF THE APPLES WERE PRETTY HARD, YOU MIGHT WANT TO TRY COOKING THEM FIRST BEFORE ADDING TO THE PIE SHELL.
One can was dented but they are delicious. The can is packed full...more apples than sauce. Big slices...want to make handpies. Carmel flavor but not over powering. Will buy again.
So good 💙
I have used many varieties of Lucky Leaf Pie filling in a number of recipes. This was the least impressive of the bunch. It did not taste bad, but it just did not taste. My expectations did not match the product. Do not expect a significant caramel or apple taste. It is just rather bland.
Cans of all pie filling I ordered came to me dented
I do not understand why the shipping methods cannot be better. I ordered 10 cans of pie filling, and all but two were dented very badly. This seems like a health hazard that Walmart would fix if they actually cared. It is a giant pain for me to return items. I have Multiple Sclerosis, and I depend on shopping where I can have items shipped. Walmart is about ready to lose my business over this issue, because it happens nearly every time. Please do better.
