I bought this unit based on a recommendation from a colleague. I have been an "Egg" guy for some years now and I've gotten pretty good at mastering it. Fast forward to the Masterbuilt 800 , well all I can say is thank you Jesus! This thing rocks , it does everything it says it will do. I have already knocked out some burgers and a killer Texas style brisket. This will make any weekend BBQ'r instantly better.

I bought my Gravity 560 at a few weeks ago and I am so impressed with this grill. It is very well built and looks like it will last for years. It is also really easy to use - Fill the hopper, light a starter, set your temp and you are ready to cook within minutes. The cooking area is also plentiful. My first cook for 6 people was cedar plank salmon, baked potatoes and grilled veggies. I had plenty of space to cook everything at the same time with room to spare. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase, the only negative is the iPhone app that needs some work. Thankfully you don't really need the app to cook amazing food on it.

Fantastic grill/smoker! Gets to desired temperature really quickly and stays exactly where you set it. Easy to reload during long smokes without disrupting the temperature or releasing smoke in the chamber. Multiple temperature probes make it easy to monitor different meats at the same time. App was very easy to connect. All in all, fantastic grill/smoker without breaking the bank!

I bought my Masterbuilt over four months ago but was waiting for them to send me a hopper gasket that did not come with the grill after waiting so long I finally got to use it and my experience with it so far I cooked three things was excellent the grill does exactly what I wanted to do as far as the temperature it was real good spot on I tested it using other temperature unit and it was good and all of the probes work up to temperature settings I have no complaints about the grill just the service of master bill was lacking Took a very long time to send out one envelope.

When I bought my 800 I had high hopes for how great it would be, and let me tell you it did not disappoint! I grill, griddle, or smoke something every weekend and all it does is churn out good food. It’s so easy to use that my teenagers are learning to use it too. It has quickly become the topic of conversation with my friends, and they are out buying their own! I can’t recommend it enough!

I have completed several cooks on this grill. I have been cooking on a Weber kettle and had to visit the grill every 15 minutes. This grill with remote monitoring and PID is amazing. It holds the temperature really steady, even in the 20° temps we are having this year. The griddle made some amazing smash burgers and we have charred steaks at 600° and smoked some ribs at 225°. Such versatility allows me to cook what I want!

I like this smoker/grill. Assembly takes 2-3 hours. It moves around well on the wheels. I do have an issue of an air leak at the bottom ash bin door. Masterbuilt is sending me replacement parts to fix that. Meanwhile, several cooks into this and the flavor has been great. That's the reason for purchasing this, so that's what counts. It goes through a lot of charcoal, but maybe that's why the results are so good. You will find some people may have issues getting the controller to connect to your wifi. I was one of those people. It just would not connect using my Pixel 6 Pro Android phone. There was a firmware update that I wanted to get installed. Finally, I grabbed my wife's iPhone, it connected immediately and installed the new firmware. Once the new firmware was installed, it connected with my Android phone. I do not think it's worth the normal everyday full price because the materials are not as high quality as some of the better grills out there. Purchase this on a deal and understand it will likely need replacing in about 5 years. Also, protect the power cord from any chance of stress. It is not soundly protected from being pulled out of the controller. I leave the power cord wrapped on the cord storage and bring an extension cord over to the grill. This keeps all stress away from the controller. Starting the fire with the previous ashed over charcoal can be a chore at times. It requires patience or you need to remove the older charcoal before each session. I recommend getting a cover and doing your best to protect it from the elements to extend the life.

This grill itself is absolutely amazing! I love smoking ribs/grilling ribeyes/and cooking hibachi all on one thing. Its easy to load, light, and maintain. The construction and gauge of the steel is also heavier duty than it appears in the photos and the controls are simple and hassle free. It was kind of weird that there was no seasoning instructions for the flat top, but we googled what to do to ensure it was seasoned before cooking. All the instructions were for seasoning the grill itself with the grill grates, but it said nothing about the flattop. The big negative for me was the cosmetic damage during shipping. The charcoal hopper is pretty sensitive, and got completely beat up during the shipping process. Its so large (and a bit difficult to assemble) we decided to just keep the grill rather than going through the motions with Walmart and Pilot of trying to return the grill and get another one.

The quality control from master built was terrible in my experience here. So many damaged parts in a well delivered box meaning it left the factory that way. If this had been a floor model with all the damage it would have been half price at least. Very disappointed before I even get to use it. Some photos attached

This has been the most frustrating 5 months upon ordering this grill. The first one we received, we assembled, and it broke down after 2 weeks. We had to replace parts and in the end, Walmart agreed to replace the item. The pick up was a difficult process and no one came for a month, which then my credit card was charged twice. We finally got the replacement, and the new grill has defective parts AGAIN. One part is too big and one leg is dented to the point we cannot assemble. Quality assurance is horrible with this grill. This is a high priced item. You'd expect that quality would be better. It's been an inconvenience for 5 months, during a time when anxieties are high during a pandemic. I had high hopes but unfortunately, this did not meet expectations.
