McCormick Kosher Pure Lemon Extract, 2.0 fl oz Box

This was my first time making cipcakes, so I wanted to use a brand I trust. I made lemon cupcakes. It turned out great and gave it the right taste throughout.

I find that with lemon flavoring, it's really easy for it to be wrong and have something that lends itself more to a candy taste rather than true lemon as it is in the wild, so to speak. What I really love about this lemon extract is it very much tastes like actual lemon. I highly recommend it if that's also what you're looking for. Very easy to use, delicious, can't go wrong!

Since I have lemon trees at home and regularly have access to fresh lemons, I can definitely tell the difference between this extract and fresh lemon juice or zest. The extract is much more concentrated and convenient, but I noticed that it has a slightly more synthetic flavor and aroma compared with the fresh, natural citrus flavor of lemons from the tree. The biggest benefit of this product is convenience and the value for money because the flavor is concentrated. Just be careful not to use too much—the flavor is quite strong!
