These peppercorns were fresh and added great flavor to my meals. I thought the container would grind the peppercorns but it does not. It just contains whole peppercorns. That was my misunderstanding. I just added the peppercorns to a pepper grinder and problem solved. This may not be an issue for you based on how you plan to use the pepper. The peppercorns themselves were flavorful and bold. I ground them and added them to my scrambled eggs. Also used them in a marinade. I would recommend this product. McCormick is a trusted brand that has been used in my family for years. There is no comparison between peppercorns and pre-ground pepper! The fresh ground is far more flavorful and fresh tasting. This being no exception! It smells fragrant, tastes fresh & is bold. The peppercorns are whole and grind very nicely, even in my auto pepper mill. One jar does not appear to be a lot but once ground, it provides a lot of pepper. I use it on just about everything and it lasts for months. Overall was pleased with this! This brand is usually pretty reliable from my experience.
