I love these roasted red peppers. They have a little bit of char but not much. They are naturally sweet because they have no sugar. Heads up Walmart I am always looking for products that have no sugar added. I haven't eaten that substance for more than six years because I'm a diabetic. These are absolutely delicious without the added sugar. Highly recommend.
Bought for recipe I had never made. Didn't realize were mild. A good size jar. Maybe can use on sandwiches and stews. I have acid reflux and didn't try. But the family enjoyed them. They were a little spicy so maybe can use in burritos or other spicy dishes?
These red peppers go in my Pimento Cheese. They are excellent, I am asked for the recipe frequently. They are also an ingredient in my homemade tomato soup! I know several friends and a granddaughter that won't eat any other tomato soup after having mine. These mild red bell peppers, pre roasted, are what makes both cheese and soup, spectacular!
This red pepper i use it as well on my beans, to make green pigeon rice, potato salad, macaroni salad, meatloaf. Is the best buy that i made
These are delicious but need to be eaten rather quickly as they start to go bad once the jar has been opened for a while. It does say on the jar eat within 7 days but the 16 oz size is way too much for one individual to eat in that time period, (smaller size was unavailable) might be suitable for a larger household.
I am a big fan of red bell peppers, however when out of season they can be costly. Mezzetta roasted sweet peppers are a nice substitute I use red bell peppers in sauce, on pizza, casseroles. and other cooked dishes. The flavor is mild and different flavor than fresh peppers. It also adds some color to dishes like mac and cheese. When cooked I don't find it much different than cooked fresh bell peppers.
I don’t know whether these are good or not because the shopper picked a bottle that had obviously been opened a long time ago, as it had a layer of green and beige mold on top highly visible. How the shopper didn’t notice is beyond me.
The top was dented in and it broke the seal so I didn’t want to use it not knowing.
The absolute worst ever. Going back to Walmart brand. These are orange, not red, and pretty hard, not soft and pretty much tasteless. So much for thinking to try more expensive figuring would be better.............NOT
they don't pack stuff at all for shipping so when it breaks and you want a replacement they let you wait for a week then say its canceled then you need to come up with another thirty five dollar order to get it shipped. tried it again hoping they would pack it right with five glass jars .twice busted in shipping. they suck
