It has a replaceable 18650 2600mah cell; this sets it apart from junk radios. Sensitivity is excellent. The crank turns smoothly, unlike junk radios. The. speaker is loud and clear without much bass; it is very easy to understand spoken words.

This lil radio surprised my wife and I, it gets better reception in our house than all of our home radio's combined, it has all kinds of extras for such a small emergency radio, the battery included last a long time, not a bad price at all. We highly recommend it

Bought and used this for cross country trip. It alerted us many times and worked very well. No fault of Midland, but you must be familiar with the names of surrounding counties and which county you are in for NOAA reports to be useful.

Relieved that I purchased this radio. Weekly warnings are easier to get a peace of mind, tornado warnings And all other warnings will and did arrive when the radio was off, yes even when it is off the warning comes in!

Long life rechargeable battery. Clear sound. Digital controls lock in on stations. I previously had purchased a cheaper, no-name radio, from another source, which was JUNK.

very nice . has a good volume and clear. no crackling sounds. i like the hand crank for emergency. only wish i knew what channel i had to have it on for the weather. but i have been using it for the FM stations alot

It really does not work. You cannot program for your county. After set up, we had numerous severe storm warnings and it never went off once. IF I manually tuned it on to the weather station, I could listen to the warning but the alert never once went off. And yes, I checked all the settings, made sure it was placed in a good reception area, etc. Worst purchase I've made in quite a long time.

I live in the south so when this stops working I'm going to get a refund. I'll never buy from this company again and I'll contact the attorney general and file a complaint with the BBB.
