Motorola MG7550 (16x4) Cable Modem + AC1900 Wi-Fi Router Combo, DOCSIS 3.0 , Certified for XFINITY by Comcast, Time Warner, Spectrum, Cox, & more

Granted, I've only had this modem/router for about a week or so, but I am very happy with the connection and speed. My last modem/router, also Motorola purchased 7 years ago was failing with lagging while streaming videos, dropped connection, and having to wait too long for pages to load. I purchased Motorola again since 7 years was a pretty good run and it combines a modem and router. The setup was very easy and fast. I connected the coaxial cable, plugged in the power cable to the modem/router, then called Spectrum to activate. It took less than ten minutes. No complaints, so far.

I love it and it's saved my money for lower bills

As I understand it, Comcast sends its Blast! Internet service out 16x4 and this modem/router is 16x4. So our speed is incredible. Our old modem was on Comcast's list of "acceptable " modem/routers for the Blast! Internet service however our Internet was slow and we found out that our router/modem was only 8x4, which is why we replaced it. I would recommend this Motorola modem/router.

Always experienced slow internet connection, then I purchased a Roku device and my internet modem/router from Comcast would not 'communicate' with my new Roku. So it was about 2 months without Roku TV connection in one of my tv's, and many hours spent on the phone with Roku & Comcast Tech Support; to still NOT work! Both would tell me the problem is the other party's problem... that I needed to call them back (you know how it is... never their system, it's always the other) Then on the last call after 2 months of going back and forth between Comcast and Roku, we did a 3 way phone call that 'resolved' the issue. BUT no, I still had no connection. Comcast then told me to swap the modem AGAIN... that's because not a lot of people know or check their bills, but we pay a $10 charge every month, plus taxes, for the modem they rent us for internet. I then decided to purchase MY OWN MODEM, and saw the excellent reviews online that this Motorola Modem+ Router, plus Booster was THE BEST out there. AND IT REALLY IS!!!!! Wish I had purchased this a LOOOOOONNNGGG time ago. All my problems would have been solved, if any problems. Just to give you an idea of how powerful this modem is, I immediately connected everything and my Roku account said: "Are you sure you want to connect to this wireless router? (it was showing a LOW Connection, due to my tv located in the other side of the house) I then decided yes, let's try this... Well, sure enough my Roku TV connected fine, AND the speed of this thing is CRAZY FAST!! I NEVER experienced such FAST CONNECTION! Plus now I save on my Comcast bill too. I will be moving to a new and bigger home, and will purchase another device, just to place it in the other side of my home. THIS IS SO WORTH IT! Recommend it to everyone I know. Comments about Walmart: Great, Fast Service! I purchased online around 11 am, they sent me a notice to pick up the product by 2pm! My problems solved within ONE DAY! PERFECT!!!! PS. I always like to leave comments, but they are usually short texts... as I always buy online and always make sure to read reviews before I buy anything. This product is worth every word I wrote here and time to write this.

The main reason I bought the modem/router, is so I do not have to pay Comcast any more money ,then I have to. So first , I looked at reviews for modem/routers, and the Motorola MG 7550 had the best. I was already getting good speeds with Comcast, so there does not seem to be any improvement with this product; but, I am satisfied with this product . Very easy installation , Comcast approved; and a Comcast screen will pop up on Your monitor and They will give You easy instructions on how to get it rolling. It also has an on/off button on it if You feel like shutting it off when not in use. I am happy with it.

I purchased this for my mother and was able to install it myself got her back on the Internet after five weeks Her home is approximately 2300 ft.² and a single story She has no issues with her reception I'm glad I purchased this Motorola

works beautifully, being a router and a modem I was able to get rid of a lot of wires. . .🙂

It works well. Need to read the instructions in detail firstly. I set up it by myself.

I purchased a DOSCIS modem and router back 2009 and the modem could not handle the faster speed internet I needed. The purchase of a new modem and separate router was about $40 more than this Motorola modem with built in router. So, I was quite happy when I found this one. So far, it is working great! It was easy to install and the security was set at the highest from the factory. I searched other sites for this same modem and the price varied from $1-$15. I decided to go with Walmart not only because I saved on shipping with the in-store pick up ordering, but also because I was able to pick it up the next morning (didn't have to wait 2-5 days). Wondering why the 4-stars? I'm still trying to figure out how to get the modem to use my old SSID.

States it works with Spectrum but does not.
