Super cute for any kids who loves sharks. Easy to do/figure out. Not too hard to dig open to find objects. Kinda messy but we'll worth it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 8 and 5-year-old sons absolutely adore this! They enjoy digging and collecting rocks, so this is ideal. The kit includes all the necessary tools for excavating the teeth, and the activity takes a while, which is wonderful as it's not completed in a single day. They received it as a Christmas gift. My favorite feature is the included mat for containing the dust. After playtime, they simply gather the mat, take it outside, shake off the dust, and it's ready for the next session. This makes it far superior to previous kits, as it eliminates the dust mess. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this product and believe it's an excellent choice for children who enjoy digging, chiseling, and collecting fossils. It's a resounding success in our home.

Was interesting but Shark was very cheap looking

It's cool but only two tiny sharks inside after working atleast 30 min to reveal one. Wish there were more prizes inside for the price.

After spending so much time trying to dig out two tiny sharks, all you remain with are very sore, blisters on your fingers and a mess! They suggest that you use water to get them out but even that didn't help!

HUGE RIP OFF!!!! Absolutely pathetic. Comes with two tiny little sharks mashed together in the middle of the mold, no challenge whatsoever to find. Comes with the smallest little "tool" you've ever seen which is garbage, does nothing. No hammer. Very disappointed in National Geographic, they spent more on the flashy box for this item than on the actual toy. Such a shame. $12 for what's shown in the review photo. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
