The directions were easy to follow. The experiments were interesting to both 8 and 10 yr olds, which is hard to find. Definitely worth the time and money, priceless memories, fun, and learned some science!

I love the National Geographic science kits. My boys can't get enough of them. They are so high quality and well put together. This Stunning Science Chemistry set was so fun! It comes with step by step instructions and everything you need. The glasses in the kit feel high quality. What a great product!

Being a homeschooling mom, I'm always searching for enjoyable hands-on activities to include in our curriculum. I opted for this kit because it offered a variety of chemistry projects with easy-to-follow instructions. The kit comes with everything you need along with a booklet of additional experiments using common household items. While we enjoyed all the projects, the rocket launcher and underwater volcano were my boys favorites. I strongly recommend these National Geographic kits as they spark a love and excitement for science, which is why I will continue to implement them.

My littles and I enjoyed doing these experiments together. The kit comes with supplies (minus a bottle of soda) to do the experiments, and additional experiments to do with common household items. While a number of the included experiments described them as explosions, eruptions, geysers, etc, the mess was on the smaller side...great for the mom and the kitchen, a little disappointing for the kids. Only three of the experiments were on the thrilling side. The instructions were clear and the extra science notes were well done. A few things that could be improved: -the mess tray is a coated card-stock, so it's not easy to rinse...it held up for all of our experiments though -the crystals and powders come in envelopes that are not resealable so they are difficult to keep contained

The discovery science experiment kit is sufficient and includes the necessary equipment to conduct the experiments. The experiments are simple and straight forward and exhibit the reactions desired. It is enjoyable for little kids, but my 11 year old found it simple and more for younger children. I thought the components felt somewhat cheap and the materials for the experiments weren't very sturdy. Everything worked fine, but I have a hard time seeing this being reused more than once or twice.
