Hits Like a Brick
I wake up a lot in the middle of the night due to some medication side effects, so I figured I'd try this. I take it as instructed an hour before bedtime and by 8:30 I'm yawning like crazy. I fell asleep faster, woke up only 2-3 times, fell asleep faster each time, and got more solid sleep overall. Great stuff. Appreciate that it isn't an excessively high dose. Also appreciate that it isn't a big pill, I'm one of those people who really can't swallow big pills.

Very good extended release melatonin. My sleep doctor recommended an extended release version with 4 mg of melatonin. I have found this product to be effective and consistent quality. Highly recommend

My favorite brand of Extended Release Melatonin
My favorite 'Extended Release' Melatonin - available here at a reasonable price. It is the 'Nature Made' brand - world renowned for making USP verified vitamins and supplements (Which is important to me - to make sure product truly contains the the correct dosage - and nothing else). And YES, 4 to 8mg should be sufficient to help most - fall asleep and to keep you alseep most of the night. Caution this is a 'hormone' (not a vitamin or a supplement or a drug) - do not take mega doses - as unexpected metabolic consequences are possible.

Extended release is the melatonin that works best. Not everyone carries it. Great price at Walmart. Make sure it reads extended release like this one

Worth a try
Extended release helps me sleep through the night. I wish I knew about this sooner. I was taking the regular Melatonin, but would often wake up in the middle of the night.

Good fast and slow release, but dosage is too high
Overall this product was very effective, but I had to cut it into quarters which I had to do carefully. 4mg gave me a terrible hangover that lasted all day. 1mg worked better, but again, it's hard to cut tablets that much. I'd really prefer a lower dose option that I could tailor better. 1mg or even 0.5 ideally.

Wasted of Money
Totally useless. Wasted my fixed income on these. I have taken as directed for 4 nights. Each night it's taken me at least 2 hours to get to sleep. Then, if I'm lucky, I might sleep at the most 2 hours. Then awake another hour or two. Back to sleep for, maybe, 2 hours. At the most I'm getting 4 hours of sleep a night. They are now in the trash. I sleep better not taking anything.
