Who doesn't love white chocolate? I added these to some Orange cookies. Absolutely amazing. How the heck do you write a review about something so common that everyone is familiar with?
I really like Nestle white baking chips. I have used other brands but they did not melt much. These do melt and they taste very good. I usually add them when I make shortbread cookies to sweeten the cookies up some. Pancakes also turn into dessert with a quarter cup or so of these and some chopped walnuts.
If you want the best chocolate for melting and have smooth chocolate, not chunks, this is it. Never settle for less, and do not get generic instead. Buy this if you want quality desserts. Yes, it runs pricey. The taste and quality is the best, though.
I used the recipe on the back of these chips and added dehydrated cranberries and the cookies turned out AMAZING!!!!! I'd have a photo to add if this request to review was sent back when I ordered the white choc chips but they are most definitely all eaten!
I use these to bake either white chocolate chip cookies, or sometimes I mix them with regular chocolate chips and put them in cookies and brownies. They always bake up well, and taste great. I find myself picking at them sometimes because they are so good.
Tastes slightly waxy, not as good as some chocolately" chips or candy ingredients, and I'm a white chocolate fan, so that makes me picky. Cooking : melts well which is important. My use was for a white cake - adding in texture and flavor for an intended recipient of my non dark Chocolate mixture as a non dark chocolate fan's alternative. I wanted the white chocolate added to vanilla mix cake. WHITE BAKING CHIPS is a bit misleading as a name for this. There's no definite flavor implied. Just "White"! I might go with a different brand that defines the flavor more closely next time, but this wasn't terrible.
My Son usually likes the great value brand but will let me use these they are definitely good quality
Great as a switch from chocolate chips. I am trying to reduce my caffeine, including from chocolate. These nice vanilla chips are very good as treats %26 snacks. Tasty, satisfying! I like them in trail mix!
the flavor felt overly manufactured; the ingredients didn't come together in a natural or balanced way. There was a stale quality that took away from the overall experience. The texture lacked the smooth, creamy richness i'd expected, leaving the chips tasting flat rather than fresh. Even so, these white chocolate chips still have a pleasant sweetness %26 a soft melt that works well in desserts, especially when baked into cookies or mixed into warm recipes. Their buttery finish %26 velvety texture can be enjoyable, though the overall flavor could feel more genuine and less heavily processed.
Cannot use this to melt. I tried melting this for Christmas candy and it just turns into an unusable clump. I even tried a double boiler and still didn't turn out.
