I just bought Nestle toll house semi sweet chocolate mini regular chips, because their was no great value ones available, so this was a substitute and let me tell you that they taste just the same. I love the texture and the taste the color and the amount that comes in a 10 oz bag.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We loved the semi-sweet mini chocolate morsels in our cookies. I love making bite size cookies for friends and family. These minis were perfect. The semi-sweet was a wonderful balance for our sweet treat.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter loves Nestlé mini morsels. They are the perfect size for her and the mini cookies ans muffins she likes to make. I like to use the mini chips in mouse, pudding, or yogurt parfaits. We make sure to always have a bag in our pantry!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Actually, I chose to mix the Nestle Toll House Semisweet Chocolate Mini Morsels and the Nestle Toll House Milk Chocolate chips in my cookie recipe. They turned out absolutely delicious. In my opinion it is a must try!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These little morsels are a delightful, delicate, yet flavorful addition to any recipe, especially for those who would like a tiny taste of chocolate in their recipe. I used the Nestle Toll House Semi Sweet Chocolate Mini Morsels in a healthier cheesecake recipe I made for the first time. I decided to add a little bit of chocolate to my protein packed Pumpkin Spice Cottage Cheese Cake Bars, though the recipe did not call for any chocolate. I made the right choice because these morsels provided a rich enough chocolate bite to my bars, without overpowering or overtaking the flavor of the pumpkin. They were honestly the perfect addition to the recipe and I will definitely be baking with them again!
The best Mickey Mouse mini chocolate chip pancake's ever!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I made the original Toll House cookies for my grandsons. They scarfed them so fast. They have the perfect amount of chocolate flavor. Loved the warm gooey cookies!!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Approximately one month ago I joined the Baker's Bunch Community and accepted a mission to bake with and and report on two items. The second item I agreed to review was a package of Nestle Toll House semi-sweet mini chocolate chips. I usually don't use these mini chocolate chips except to decorate with, or to mix into pastry creams for fillings. I opened this package of mini chips and the aroma was a strong chocolaty perfume. I decided to use these mini chips in two different applications--the first in a Chocolate Coconut Oaties cookie and the second, an Orange-Chip Cranberry Bread. The Chocolate Coconut Oaties recipe called for one cup of mini chocolate chips, producing about 4-dozen cookies. The Orange-Chip Cranberry bread also called for 1 cup of mini chocolate chips, yielding two small loaves. Both recipes were easy to make and looked pleasing to the eye. The cookie itself reminded me of a shortbread cookie, buttery and crumbles in your mouth. Once again, I dragged my husband kicking and screaming (LOL) to taste these new concoctions. The cookies although very good, were not chocolate forward. The cookie had overtones of chocolate but I think since the chips are so small, I missed that pop-of-chocolate satisfaction I get when actually biting into a bigger chip. Next time I'll double the amount of chips in the mix. The Orange-Chip Cranberry bread suffered the same fate. Again, the bread was very good, but the chocolate was unremarkable--unless a fragment was up against a cranberry, in which case I got that sought-after hit of chocolate. I found no issue with the Nestle Toll House chips. I do think that "mini" chips, at least in these recipes, leads to the chocolate becoming lost among the other ingredients. One possible solution would be increase the amount of chips used. However, as I prefer the occasional "discovery" of identifiable chocolate bits in my confections, I'm inclined to use the larger standard-sized chips. I will continue to use mini chocolate chips for decorating and folding into creams and frostings but probably not for baked items.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would use the mini morsels if you were making mini muffins but not regular size cookies because the morsel gets lost in there. But fir the morsels it is good chocolatly creamy morsels that would be great on anything alone.
Great baking chips. Doesn't taste like I remember them growing up. I don't mind baking with them, but we no longer like to eat them by themselves. I do prefer other brands for baking as well, but they still do the trick. They melt well, and are easy to work with. Cookies, bars, and cheesecake recipes are always a hit using these.
