I began taking this supplement, at this 4mg dosage daily, because it is supposedly good for your eyes and vision; as it is filled with carotenoids. This supplement has had unexpected positive side effects. It has a natural laxative effect when eating a healthy diet. The carotenoids cause the stool to have a bit of a reddish tinge. I also noticed the skin on my face is smoother and has a glowing youthful look. I must be looking good because at 70 years old; a 34 year old man at work asked me out.

This is one of the better forms of anti-inflammatories available. I'm getting older and have more need, so this was a good opportunity to get some at a good price.

I'm relatively new to taking Astaxanthin, (on my 2nd bottle) and it seems to be working. I've read lots of good reviews, yet I may need to take it long term to see it's true effects. I do like this brand and they mix the Astaxanthin with extra virgin olive oil. This is why I chose this brand and it offers a very good price.

Since this was so highly recommended from a variety of sources, I thought I would try it. Simply put, it works. I stopped taking it, noticed the difference, and now have returned to it. Do a little research online to discover the benefits it brings to determine if it's something needed. It helps.

I've researched astaxanthin and taken 4mg with dinner for four years. Swanson prices and customer service are the best, and astaxanthin is a definite keeper.

I bought this version of Astaxanthin in place of another on this site and was not pleased. It is way bigger in size and such a low miligram that I beleive the rest of the pill is filler. I would not recommend buying this because there are better products on this site.

I tried my first 4 mg of astxanthin with scrambled eggs. An hour later I'm wiped out. No energy. Maybe it lowered my blood sugar or maybe my body can't detox fast enough but I don't think this is what I expected.
