Lecithin can be used for multiple things, breastfeeding, lowering LDL cholesterol, protect digestive lining and as an emulsifer in cooking. It can moisturize skin and act as an emollient.
Shipping was super fast! This did exactly what I needed it to!
This is a good way to include a good amount of choline and inositol in daily food intake. It is very sticky. I dip the spoon in olive oil before I squeeze out the amount of lecithin I want. It then slides off the spoon. Usually I just mix a spoonful of the oil into the lecithin. This is one of the best sources of choline, especially for vegetarians.
great pro3
Easy to use. No mess.
I'm not really sure why I mustn't eat soy, but it seems, I mustn't... so this is all natural soy free and No GMO.
It did what it was supposed to do, what I needed it for!
Made homemade bread and while it makes a better sandwich bread it adds a strange aftertaste. My family didn’t complain but my next batch will use an egg yolk to see if I can get the same bread results. If not, I will continue using the sunflower lecithin and deal with the aftertaste.
I purchased this to use in my Misto sprayer mixed with olive oil as a nonstick spray as I had read online. DON'T DO IT!! I thought it looked a bit strange when I poured it - more brown and not smooth - but it has been a number of years since I used lecithin, and my experience with NOW has always been good so I forged on. The result was something of gooey, clumpy mess in the bottom of my sprayer that thoroughly clogged the spray tube. I worked half a day getting it cleaned so it would spray again. Just mixed with some olive oil and used to grease pans with a pastry brush works very well, but still needs to be stirred to blend the clumps before each use. I do have to say, I am still a tiny bit concerned about the quality of the lecithin and if I should be using it at all.
I thought this would be a better alternative to trying to swallow the large pills... Wrong! This stuff is the consistency of molasses. It didn't dissolve in any drink I tried, warm or cold and just ended up being thick goo in my drink. I'm thinking to try blending it in a smoothie... But I won't buy it again!
